After sending, track the deposit and verify the credited balance. Before withdrawing, recheck the destination network and address.
1. Confirm the exact asset and source network
Check the token on the specific chain you plan to send from—not just its symbol or name. A token with a familiar symbol is not proof that the bridge supports that token contract or asset on that network.
NEAR’s deposit guide directs users to check supported_tokens for the relevant chains. Its response includes asset identifiers and token-specific minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts and withdrawal-fee fields. Treat the response as the source for the current details of your route; examples in documentation are not live quotes. NEAR Intents deposit guide
2. Choose the documented bridge path
NEAR describes Omni Bridge as its primary multichain bridge and PoA Bridge as an alternative for assets Omni Bridge does not support. The NEAR Intents documentation lists Bitcoin, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Solana, and TON among Omni Bridge’s supported networks. Network support does not mean every token on that network is supported: check the live asset list for the exact asset and route. NEAR Intents bridge documentation

The reviewed documentation does not establish a comprehensive current comparison of Omni Bridge and PoA Bridge for security, speed, or cost. Compare whether your exact asset and network are supported, what the selected flow asks you to do, and the current minimums and fees it displays rather than assuming one path is universally better.
3. Generate and verify the recipient address
Request a deposit_address for the account that should receive the funds and the chain you are using. The address is unique to each account_id, so do not reuse an address from an example, another account, or an earlier flow without confirming it still matches the intended recipient. NEAR’s guide explicitly warns not to send funds to its example address. NEAR Intents deposit guide

- Confirm the destination account is the one you control and intend to credit.
- Confirm the address matches the source chain selected in the deposit flow.
- Check the address carefully before sending; do not substitute a documentation example.
4. Check the amount and costs in the live flow
Before approving a source-chain transaction, check the minimum deposit for that specific asset and route, any applicable bridge fees, and the source-chain transaction cost. The documentation exposes token-specific minimum and fee fields, but it does not establish universal current values. Avoid relying on example amounts or fees in documentation as a quote for your transfer.
5. Track the deposit and confirm the credit
Keep the source-chain transaction reference, then check the deposit status and the balance in the intended NEAR Intents account. NEAR’s FAQ describes deposit records as pending, completed, or failed. If a deposit fails or remains unresolved, use the official support route; the FAQ says failed deposits are currently handled manually. NEAR Intents FAQ

The FAQ recommends starting with a small amount for experimentation in its Bitcoin-deposit scenario. That is not a guarantee that a small transfer will be economical or recoverable, so check the minimum and costs before choosing an amount.

If you plan to move funds from NEAR to another chain, verify the destination chain, token, and address again in the withdrawal flow. NEAR’s documentation example puts the destination address in a WITHDRAW_TO memo; check that the value corresponds to your intended destination before signing. NEAR Intents withdrawal documentation
