At Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort in the United States, bags must be no larger than 24 × 15 × 18 inches (61 × 38 × 46 cm). The rule includes backpacks, suitcases and coolers, with or without wheels. Disneyland applies it to theme parks; Walt Disney World applies it to theme parks and water parks.
Maximum bag size at Disneyland and Walt Disney World
Disney’s published limit is 24 inches long × 15 inches wide × 18 inches high (61 × 38 × 46 cm). The same dimensions appear in the Disneyland Resort Rules and Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules.

The cited policies cover bags, backpacks, suitcases and coolers, whether or not they have wheels. These rules are for the two U.S. resorts named above; do not assume they apply to international Disney parks or other Disney properties.
How to choose a bag that fits
Check all three exterior dimensions, including handles, pockets and wheels where applicable, and consider the bag’s size after packing. Disney’s published rules give the maximum dimensions but do not explain how security measures a flexible or overfilled bag. Choosing a bag that stays comfortably within each limit when packed is practical guidance, not a stated Disney measurement procedure.

- Allow room for the items you plan to carry without overfilling the bag.

Screening and items that may be refused
Both resorts say people and their belongings may be subject to screening or security checks, and reserve the right not to admit any bag, parcel or other item. A bag within the listed dimensions is therefore not a guarantee of entry. Review the applicable resort’s official rules shortly before your visit.
Coolers, food and ice
If you bring a cooler, it must stay within the same size limit. Both resorts prohibit loose or dry ice in these containers and recommend reusable ice packs, as stated in their Disneyland rules and Walt Disney World rules.
