NVIDIA’s September 28, 2016 video shows Titanfall 2 multiplayer gameplay that NVIDIA described as 4K at 60 frames per second, captured on a TITAN X. That is NVIDIA’s description of a promotional capture—not proof that every TITAN X or PC can sustain 60 FPS in every scene. NVIDIA’s separate benchmark in its graphics guide recorded 56 FPS at 4K on a TITAN X.

What was in NVIDIA’s Titanfall 2 video?

Published by NVIDIA GeForce on September 28, 2016, the clip is multiplayer PC gameplay. NVIDIA’s verified video description says: “Check out the exclusive, first ever Titanfall 2 4K gameplay footage running at 60 frames per second, captured on a TITAN X!” You can view the NVIDIA GeForce video listing.

NVIDIA’s later Titanfall 2 graphics and performance guide describes the showcase footage as 3840×2160 (4K) at 60 FPS. These details establish what NVIDIA said about its footage; they do not independently verify how it was captured or establish performance on other systems.

Does the video prove a TITAN X can sustain 4K at 60 FPS?

No. The video description states a capture resolution and frame rate, but does not identify the TITAN X generation, CPU, driver, graphics settings, or capture method. It also does not establish uninterrupted native-rate output across every scene.

NVIDIA’s guide gives a separate performance figure: “At 4K, however, only the NVIDIA TITAN X approaches 60 FPS, achieving a tantalizingly-close 56 FPS in our benchmark”. That 56 FPS is NVIDIA’s own benchmark result, not an independent measurement or a test of the video’s undisclosed full setup. The promotional capture description and benchmark figure therefore should not be treated as interchangeable evidence.

What hardware and release context did NVIDIA identify?

NVIDIA named a TITAN X as the capture hardware, but the video listing does not specify its generation. It is safest to refer to it simply as a TITAN X rather than assume a particular revision.

A September 28, 2016 HotHardware archive listing described Titanfall 2 as coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at the end of the following month. That was contemporary release-window context, not a statement about current availability.
