Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactics game set near the end of the Clone Wars. What is Star Wars Zero Company?
Developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars Zero Company is a squad tactics game rather than a real-time action adventure. Its story follows Hawks, a former Republic officer who commands Zero Company, an unconventional group of professionals for hire drawn from across the galaxy.
The game takes place in the final stretch of the Clone Wars. Its official reveal describes a boots-on-the-ground perspective on the conflict, moving the squad between unfamiliar and recognizable locations. Lucasfilm Games executive producer Orion Kellogg described the project as a new angle on the era, drawing on the political intrigue of Andor, the gritty battles of Rogue One, and the wit and wisdom of A New Hope. How does the gameplay work?
Combat is turn-based: you plan where squad members move and what they do instead of controlling a character continuously in real time. EA describes a campaign that combines tactical operations and investigations with squad preparation and story decisions. Build and customize a squad
You recruit and customize squad members, with potential characters spanning archetypes such as scoundrels, astromechs, and a Jedi. EA also says players can customize Hawks’ appearance and specialization. The composition of the team is part of the tactical setup, not just a roster of characters in the story.
Coordinate abilities and relationships
Squad members develop relationships, and working together can unlock combat synergies. EA presents these connections as having gameplay consequences as well as narrative ones, so team choice and cooperation are part of the tactical layer.

Prepare between missions
Planning continues away from the battlefield. EA says players make decisions at the team’s base of operations, called The Den in its launch announcement, and prepare the squad before heading into shifting battlefields. The campaign includes tactical missions, investigations, and other operations rather than combat encounters alone.
What is the story about?
The story centers on the Infinite Coil, a Separatist-aligned cult led by Kundri Fathom, and its connection to the Shadow Plague. These details appear in EA’s launch announcement, which gives the threat more specificity than the original reveal. Platforms, release, and game length
EA lists the worldwide release date as August 27, 2026. The game is available on PC through the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. EA Help estimates that most players will need around 30 to 40 hours to complete the main story; actual time varies with difficulty and familiarity with turn-based tactics. Is Star Wars Zero Company multiplayer?
No. EA Help describes Star Wars Zero Company as single-player and says it has no online or competitive multiplayer, online co-op, local or split-screen co-op, or other online social features. EA’s listed PC requirements do not require an online connection, though internet access may still be needed to download the game or updates, or to use platform-specific services.

Editions and physical copies
EA Help lists Standard and Deluxe editions; the Deluxe Edition adds cosmetic content and weapon themes. EA also announced a Collector’s Edition with a Star Wars Zero Company-themed Hasbro Black Series Thermal Detonator, a Steelbook, a desk mat, and other items. Its launch announcement’s prices are time-sensitive, so check current listings rather than treating launch pricing as current.
EA says physical Standard Edition copies are available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S through selected retailers. That confirms a physical-console purchase option, but not current stock at any particular store. Check the retailer and edition details before ordering.
