Discord Checkpoint is Discord’s personalized year-in-review, similar in concept to Spotify Wrapped. The documented 2025 edition recapped activity such as games played, communities, messages, voice time, emoji use, and the friend you talked with most. However, that edition’s viewing period ended on January 15, 2026. The sources available here do not confirm whether a 2026 Checkpoint has been announced, so a new recap is not something you can count on checking right now.
What Discord Checkpoint shows
Discord introduced Checkpoint in 2025 as its first annual review of a user’s activity and communities on the platform. Its announcement described it as “the first time we’re giving you a recap of the stuff YOU did on Discord throughout the year.” You can think of it as a year-end recap, but Checkpoint is Discord’s feature—not a Spotify product.

Discord’s announcement highlighted games played across the platform, including League of Legends, Minecraft, and Genshin Impact, and said League of Legends continued to dominate. It did not publish numeric counts or a ranked list in the announcement. Discord also said the fire emoji entered its five most-used emojis for the first time in 2025, after not appearing in the top five from 2021 through 2024. These are platform-wide observations, not necessarily the contents of every user’s personal recap. Discord’s December 4, 2025 announcement also stated that the service had more than 200 million monthly active users globally; that is Discord’s own figure.
How to find the 2025 Checkpoint
When the 2025 recap was available, Discord documented these access paths:
#1 Best Overall
- Unleash more fun chatting and hanging out with friends on Discord with Nitro!
- Get access to all Nitro perks, including HD streaming, custom emojis, bigger file uploads, and more.
- A great gift for yourself and your favorite folks on Discord. Nitro gift card codes are easy to use and never expire.
- Available in 1, 3, 6, and 12 month amounts. Cannot be redeemed for the Nitro Basic plan.
- Gift card code will be delivered via email. No returns or refunds on Discord Nitro gift card codes. Terms apply.
- Desktop app or browser: Look for the flag icon in the upper-right of Discord.
- Mobile app: Open the You tab at the bottom right, then tap the Checkpoint banner.
Discord recommended using the latest app version. Its support article listed browser access and described mobile availability for the period covered by that article; device support can change, so those instructions should not be treated as confirmation that a Checkpoint is currently available. Discord’s Checkpoint FAQ has the platform-specific guidance.
Can you still view the 2025 recap?
No. Discord said the 2025 Checkpoint could be viewed through January 15, 2026. That date has passed. The sources cited here do not establish whether Discord has announced a 2026 edition, so they cannot confirm that a new recap is available now or that Checkpoint will return annually.

Why some users did not receive a Checkpoint
For the 2025 edition, eligibility depended on having activity on Discord during 2025 and having the setting that allowed data to personalize the Discord experience enabled. Discord said changing the setting afterward would not create a 2025 Checkpoint retroactively. If you did not see one during its availability period, lack of qualifying activity or the personalization setting may explain why.

Discord’s support article says Checkpoint used activity data, with games played and time spent in voice channels as examples; it did not use message content. The recap was visible only to the account holder unless they chose to share it. Discord provided a share button for the summary, and users could take screenshots of other pages.

Discord also offered a matching digital Checkpoint avatar decoration for the 2025 edition. Its stated wear-through date was January 15, 2026, so it is not a current way to access or extend the recap.
