A changed release date shifts the game’s expected launch, but it does not by itself confirm whether the game will remain in Game Pass, which plans will include it, or when it will be available in your region. Check the title’s current Xbox Store listing and the latest official Xbox announcement for those details.
Does the game stay in Game Pass on its new release date?
A new date alone does not establish whether a game is still included with Game Pass or which subscriptions qualify. Availability is a separate catalog question: Xbox’s Game Pass catalog has “Coming to Game Pass” and “Leaving soon” collections, and warns that titles, features, and availability can vary by time, region, plan, and platform.
Check the current listing for the affected game and the latest official announcement. Confirm the revised date, supported platform, eligible plan, and your region rather than assuming that another subscriber’s listing applies to you.
Why can a game page appear before the game is available?
A visible Store page does not necessarily mean the game can be acquired or downloaded. Microsoft’s publishing schedule guide distinguishes when a product is discoverable in the Store from its release: during the discoverability period, customers cannot acquire or download it unless its release or preorder date has been reached.

So, if the page says “Coming soon” or otherwise appears before the revised launch, page visibility is not proof that the game is playable. The Store’s current release availability is the more relevant signal.
What if the announcement or date changes again?
Official Game Pass schedules can be updated after publication. For example, an Xbox Wire roundup published July 7, 2026 listed games under “Coming Soon”; an editor’s note dated July 13 said Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 had been removed from that list. That example is a reason to recheck current announcements, not evidence of a universal reason for removals or a promise about rescheduling.

Microsoft’s Game Development Kit documentation describes a separate delay in publisher-side entitlement reporting. When a title or add-on goes live in Game Pass, client availability may appear before the publisherQuery API reflects the entitlement because Store systems refresh caches on different schedules. Microsoft says publisherQuery visibility can lag by two to three hours.

This is a backend reporting detail, not a stated general delay for players and not evidence that the public launch date changed again. The documentation does not promise that a player-facing access problem will be fixed within that period.
