The first changes how information is presented; the second aims to move a task forward.
What does “vibe coding” mean in Gemini 3?
In this announcement, “vibe coding” means asking Gemini to create an app or interactive web interface from a prompt. Rather than returning only conventional text, Gemini can generate a presentation shaped around the request. Google calls this capability “generative interfaces” and describes a “dynamic view” as a custom interface Gemini designs and codes in real time.
Google’s examples include a magazine-style visual layout and an interface users can tap and scroll through. The intended distinction is between receiving a fixed answer and receiving a response organized as a purpose-built visual experience. These are Google’s product claims, not independently verified performance results.
As Demis Hassabis and Koray Kavukcuoglu wrote in Google’s November 18, 2025 announcement, “You can vibe code richer, more interactive web UI and apps with Gemini 3.” Here, the phrase refers to prompt-based creation; it does not mean every ordinary Gemini answer is necessarily an app or interface.

What is Gemini Agent?
Gemini Agent is a separate experimental feature in the Gemini app for carrying out multistep work. Google describes it as interpreting a request, using available tools or connected services, and progressing through steps that would otherwise require the user to switch between tasks. Josh Woodward, VP of Google Labs, Gemini app and AI Studio, described it as “an experimental feature that handles multi-step tasks directly inside Gemini.”
Examples in Google’s Gemini app announcement include organizing an inbox, setting Calendar reminders, and researching a car rental using travel details in email. Google said Agent could draw on Deep Research, Canvas, connected Google Workspace apps such as Gmail and Calendar, and live web browsing.

Google said the design seeks confirmation before critical actions, with purchases and sending messages given as examples. That safeguard matters because an agent may prepare actions as part of a workflow; it should not be treated as blanket permission to act without review.
How the two features differ
| Feature | Main purpose | Typical interaction | User control |
|---|---|---|---|
| Generative interfaces (“dynamic view”) | Present information as a tailored visual or interactive response | Prompt Gemini, then view, tap, or scroll through the generated interface | The user explores the response |
| Gemini Agent | Advance a multistep task using tools and connected services | Describe a goal; Agent can work across supported app connections and web browsing | Google says it seeks confirmation for critical actions such as purchases or sending messages |
In short, a generated interface is primarily a different way to receive and interact with an answer. Agent is intended to carry out a sequence of workflow steps. The features may both involve Gemini responding to a prompt, but they solve different problems.

What was available at launch—and what remains uncertain
Google’s November 18, 2025 posts described Gemini 3 Pro as rolling out globally in the Gemini app, while Gemini Agent was initially available on the web to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the United States. Those are launch-era statements, not confirmation of access on October 8, 2026. The reviewed announcements do not establish current regional availability, subscription limits, or pricing, so check the Gemini app and Google’s current plan details before relying on access.
What Google reported about Gemini 3 Pro
In its November 18, 2025 model announcement, Google reported these results for Gemini 3 Pro. They are company-reported benchmark figures, not independent comparisons, and should not be read as results for every later version of Gemini.

Google also reported separate Gemini 3 Deep Think results: 41.0% on Humanity’s Last Exam without tools, 93.8% on GPQA Diamond, and 45.1% on ARC-AGI-2 with code execution. Deep Think is a distinct model mode; those figures should not be attributed to Gemini 3 Pro.

Google announced Antigravity alongside Gemini 3, but it is a separate agentic development platform aimed at software developers. Google described its agents as working with editor, terminal, and browser surfaces to plan, execute, and validate software tasks. Gemini Agent, by contrast, is the experimental feature in the Gemini app for general multistep tasks such as inbox or travel-related work.

For developers: dated Gemini API guidance
Google’s November 25, 2025 Gemini API update described controls including thinking_level, a relative guideline for reasoning depth, and media_resolution, which lets developers balance visual detail against token use and latency. The post also discussed thought signatures in function-calling and image-generation workflows and recommended the default temperature of 1.0. These are dated instructions; consult the current official API documentation before implementing them, because settings and guidance can change.
