Samsung FE stands for Fan Edition. It is a product-family label for Galaxy devices shaped around features Samsung says users value—not a technical grade or a promise that every FE matches a flagship.
What “Fan Edition” means
Samsung says it uses feedback from Galaxy users to decide which features to emphasize in FE products. When it introduced the Galaxy S20 FE, the company described the phone as combining selected Galaxy S20 features with a streamlined design and a more accessible launch price. Its current explanation focuses on bringing signature Galaxy experiences to more users.
Those descriptions explain Samsung’s positioning, not a fixed specification checklist. An FE model may retain some features associated with its Galaxy family while changing or omitting others. The name alone does not establish that it has every flagship feature, performs identically to a flagship, or costs less than one at current prices. Compare the specific models, market, and prices when deciding whether an FE is right for you. Samsung’s Galaxy FE guide and its Galaxy S20 FE announcement describe the company’s approach.
What products carry the FE name?
FE is a family label used beyond smartphones. Samsung’s UK guide lists phones, tablets, and earbuds:

This is the lineup shown in Samsung’s UK guide, not a worldwide stock list. Releases and availability differ by country and over time, so check Samsung’s local listings for the models sold where you live. Samsung’s 2024 overview of Galaxy FE devices gives examples of their different uses, including note-taking with a Tab S9 FE’s S Pen and calls with Buds FE.
What is the latest Samsung FE phone?
Samsung’s UK guide identifies the Galaxy S26 FE as its latest FE smartphone. Samsung announced it on August 27, 2026, and said it would be available from September 4 in select markets. That timing does not mean it is available in every country.
