Seasonic’s power-supply calculator was reportedly showing selectable names for RTX 50 Super graphics cards, but that is not an NVIDIA product announcement. As of October 4, 2026, NVIDIA’s RTX 50 product page lists standard desktop models and no Super cards; NVIDIA has not confirmed a Super refresh or its launch date.

What appeared in Seasonic’s calculator

A September 29, 2025 HotHardware report said Seasonic’s online PSU calculator included entries for the GeForce RTX 5070 Super and RTX 5070 Ti Super. The report described a system with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, one SSD and six fans. For that configuration, the calculator returned these whole-system PSU recommendations:

GPU selected in the calculator Calculator result for the described system
RTX 5070 600 W
RTX 5070 Super 600 W
RTX 5070 Ti 700 W
RTX 5070 Ti Super 750 W

These are calculator totals for that particular build, not graphics-card power ratings or universal PSU recommendations. In the same report, NVIDIA-listed reference information for the standard RTX 5070 was 250 W board power and a recommended 650 W PSU; for the standard RTX 5070 Ti, it was 300 W board power and a recommended 750 W PSU. HotHardware’s original report attributed its Super-card entries to the calculator, not to an NVIDIA announcement.

Why a calculator listing does not confirm a GPU

Seasonic says its wattage calculator estimates the needs of a complete PC based on the components entered, including the CPU, graphics card, storage and cooling. Seasonic describes its result as a minimum and advises allowing additional headroom, particularly for overclocking or future upgrades.

A selectable name is evidence only that the tool displayed an entry at the time reported. It does not establish that NVIDIA finalized a product name or specifications, that a card is going to retail, or that a launch is imminent. In particular, the calculator’s system-wattage result should not be described as the GPU’s own TGP or board power.

What later reports and NVIDIA’s current list show

In a July 8, 2026 follow-up, HotHardware said reports had identified RTX 5080 Super, RTX 5070 Ti Super and RTX 5070 Super options in Seasonic’s calculator. Its author said the entries were no longer visible when checked and speculated that they may have been removed after media attention. The follow-up also described proposed specifications as unofficial because NVIDIA had not announced the cards. That report does not establish that the entries remain in the calculator or that the rumored specifications are accurate.

NVIDIA’s current GeForce RTX 50 Series page lists RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti, RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 desktop models. It does not list a Super model. A roundup published October 3, 2026 likewise reported no Super model in NVIDIA’s official catalog and no NVIDIA-confirmed launch date: TechPowerUp’s status roundup.

The 2025 report relayed a Benchlife rumor, via VideoCardz, that a refresh might arrive in Q1 or Q2 2026, possibly March through May, while noting that add-in-board partners had not been notified of a launch date. That forecasted window has passed; it was never a confirmed schedule. The evidence supports describing RTX 50 Super cards as unannounced and unconfirmed as of October 4, 2026—not as cancelled or coming soon.

What this means if you are choosing a graphics card

Compare cards that are actually listed and available rather than treating rumored Super specifications as shipping products. For a buying decision, check verified retail availability, independent gaming and application performance, price, memory capacity, dimensions and cooling, power requirements, and warranty.

If you are planning a power supply, enter your verified components into the calculator and treat its result as a minimum estimate, with appropriate headroom for your build. Do not size a PSU around an unconfirmed GPU entry or interpret a whole-system wattage result as the card’s power draw.

NVIDIA’s January 6, 2025 launch release described the standard RTX 50 family as Blackwell-powered. Its launch statement is about that announced family, not evidence for a Super refresh: NVIDIA’s RTX 50 Series press release.
