How to save a full webpage with Evernote
- Open the webpage you want to keep and launch the Evernote Web Clipper extension.
- Choose Full page as the clip type. If your browser does not show that option, available modes may differ; check the extension’s settings.
- Choose the Evernote notebook, add tags or a comment if useful, then save the clip.

Which mode should you choose?
- Choose Full page when preserving the original page’s overall visual design and navigation matters.
- Choose Article when you mainly need the central content.
- Choose Simplified article when clean, less-formatted reading is more important than the original layout.
- Choose Screenshot when a visual record is useful or automatic clipping is not working. A screenshot should not be treated as an equivalent searchable, editable article capture.
Why a full-page clip may be incomplete
Complex page designs, interactive elements, and multimedia can lead to incorrect clips. Full page is meant to preserve the page as a static copy; it does not ensure that every interactive feature or dynamic element will behave as it did on the live site. Try these fixes in order
- Switch modes: try Full page, Article, or Simplified article, depending on what you need to preserve.
- If automatic clipping still misses content, select the relevant content manually.
- Use Screenshot if a visual capture is an acceptable fallback.
- If the extension is malfunctioning, Evernote suggests allowing third-party cookies, temporarily disabling ad-blocking extensions, clearing the browser cache, and signing out and back in.
These are troubleshooting suggestions, not a guarantee that every page can be captured successfully. The appropriate fallback depends on whether you need the whole visual page, the article text, or simply a reference.

How to judge it against another Web Clipper
The title does not identify which other product “Web Clipper” means. Without that name, a reliable winner or feature-by-feature comparison is not possible. Compare the two tools on the same practical questions:
- Capture scope: Does it save a rendered full page, extract the main article, select content, save a bookmark, or take a screenshot?
- Fidelity and readability: Does it retain navigation and layout, or remove clutter for reading?
- Difficult pages: What happens with interactive, multimedia, or complex layouts?
- Destination and retrieval: Where does the capture go, and how will you find it later?
- Browser support: Does the mode you need exist in your browser?
Only Evernote’s behavior is established here; the other product needs to be named before its capabilities can be compared fairly.
