The Waterdrop X12 and A2 are different kinds of reverse-osmosis systems: the X12 installs under a sink and dispenses through a dedicated faucet, while the A2 is a countertop unit that dispenses hot and cold water. Waterdrop’s indexed U.S. product pages show offers, but no official announcement in the available sources verifies 2026 Black Friday prices, dates, coupon terms, or eligible models. Treat any listed offer as a regular product offer unless official event terms identify it as a Black Friday deal.
Is the Waterdrop X12 worth buying on Black Friday?
It may suit a household that wants an under-sink RO system and has room and plumbing access for installation. Whether a sale makes it worthwhile depends on the verified checkout price, the exact bundle and filter costs—not just the advertised discount. Waterdrop’s product page lists an X12 bundle offer, but that listing does not by itself establish a Black Friday promotion: Waterdrop X12 product offer.
For context only, a Waterdrop press release distributed through PR Newswire reported a historical Black Friday/Cyber Monday X12 price of $899, compared with a stated regular price of $1,299, in 2025: Waterdrop’s 2025 Black Friday/Cyber Monday offer. That historical offer does not establish a 2026 price or guarantee that the same model or bundle will be included again.
Before buying during a sale, confirm the final price and terms on the official offer page. Check the date, country, eligible X12 variant, coupon requirements or stacking rules, stock, and shipping. Compare the full system price with the replacement filters you will need.

Choose the X12 if under-sink installation fits your kitchen
The X12 puts the system under the sink and uses a dedicated faucet. It is the more natural fit if you prefer not to keep a dispenser on the counter and can accommodate the system and installation. Its listed 1,200 GPD capacity is a manufacturer specification; it does not, on its own, predict the water available at a particular household’s faucet.

Choose the A2 if you want countertop hot and cold dispensing
The A2 avoids under-sink installation and provides hot and cold water from a countertop dispenser. In return, it occupies counter space and uses its listed 200-ounce tank. Consider where the unit will sit and whether its storage and dispensing arrangement meets your household’s daily needs.
Do not confuse the A2 with the A2G
The A2G is a separate model. Waterdrop lists it with remineralization, a portable pure-water tank, and different filtration and storage details. A2G prices and A2G replacement filters are not evidence of the A2’s price or filter compatibility. For the A2, verify the model name and the A2RF-RO filter.

How much does the Waterdrop A2 filter cost?
No A2RF-RO replacement-filter price is established in the available product information, so an annual filter cost cannot be calculated reliably here. Waterdrop identifies WD-A2RF-RO as compatible with the A2 and states a 12-month life of up to 528 gallons; actual filter life depends in part on water quality. Check the replacement listing for the exact filter model and current price before estimating ongoing cost: Waterdrop WD-A2RF-RO filter information.
Do not substitute A2G’s A2RFG filter or another Waterdrop filter based on brand alone. Confirm that the replacement product explicitly names the A2 and WD-A2RF-RO.

Does the Waterdrop X12 need replacement filters?
Yes. Waterdrop lists three X12 filter elements with different stated replacement intervals: F1A at 12 months, F2 at 6 months, and X12-F3 at 24 months. These are the manufacturer’s stated intervals; follow the product’s guidance for your water and usage, and verify the filter name when ordering. The X12’s filters are not the A2’s A2RF-RO filter.
For a fair sale comparison, add the cost of the correct replacement filters over the period you expect to own the system. The intervals are not the same, so the upfront system discount alone does not show the difference in ongoing ownership cost.

How to judge a Waterdrop sale before checkout
- Identify the exact model and bundle. Confirm whether the listing is for X12, A2, or the distinct A2G, and note which filters or accessories are included.
- Verify the promotion on Waterdrop’s official event or product page. Check the offer date, region, eligible variant, coupon rules, stock, and shipping terms. A product page discount is not proof of a Black Friday event.
- Compare the final price, not the crossed-out price. Apply any code that is actually available and eligible, then compare the checkout total for the same variant.
- Account for fit and ongoing ownership. Consider installation and cabinet space for X12, counter space and tank needs for A2, and the correct replacement filter prices and intervals.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
