There is no verified universal best support loadout in WARDOGS. Choose around the job your team needs: an LMG such as the PKM for holding a position, an RPG-7 or MAAWS when vehicles are the threat, or tools that help build and repair. Keep armor, ammunition, utility, and the cost of replacing the kit in your budget—not just the weapon.
Choose your primary weapon for the team’s immediate need
The role-specific guide from BLAST, dated September 30, 2026, names several options by task rather than ranking them as a single best build. Its recommendations are role-based; they are not evidence of controlled testing or a universal optimal loadout.
| Team task | Weapon or tool to consider | How it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Hold a position or provide overwatch | PKM or another LMG | Better suited to deployed suppression than to running engagements. A fan-made Loadout Command guide describes LMGs as slow to aim; confirm current handling in the live build. |
| Defend a base or fight around buildings | M500 | BLAST names it as a close-range defensive option around bases, buildings, and fortifications. |
| Threaten vehicles | RPG-7 or MAAWS | BLAST identifies these launchers for vehicle threats. Bring one when that need outweighs the mobility or other equipment you would give up. |
| Apply explosive pressure to infantry positions | MGL-40 | BLAST identifies it as an option for explosive pressure against infantry positions. |
These options do not establish which weapon is strongest in the current patch. Check the live client for handling, unlock access, and price before committing to a build. Loadout Command notes that RPG-7 progression information and hammer unlocks and costs can change by patch.
Bring tools that make the support role useful
Support is not only about winning gunfights. BLAST’s support guide describes tools that help the team shape or sustain a fight:
#1 Best Overall
- Hammer: useful when constructing fortifications is part of the plan.
- Drill: relevant when the task is repairing vehicles.
- Remote-detonated explosives: can add an explosive threat where the team expects it to matter.
- Anti-tank mines: can be placed on likely vehicle routes.
Choose utility for a specific team task rather than carrying tools by default. A hammer helps only if building matters; a drill is relevant when vehicle repair is expected. The source does not establish current item costs or a tested combination of tools.
Build around mobility, range, and replacement cost
An LMG loadout makes more sense when you can set up and cover an area. The fan-made Loadout Command guide characterizes LMGs as slow to aim and better suited to bipod-deployed suppression than running engagements. If you expect to move frequently or fight close to bases, consider the close-range M500 option instead. For vehicle threats, weigh a launcher against the position-holding or close-defense weapon you would otherwise carry.
Budget the whole kit, not just its primary weapon. WardogsBuild’s general loadout guide, last updated September 12, 2026, recommends balancing weapon, armor, ammunition, utility, and the cost of replacing the build after a death. It describes its statistics as community-reported and patch-sensitive; the reviewed sources do not provide a verified, current itemized support-kit budget.

Before settling on a kit, check the current client for:
Rank #3
- Whether you have unlocked the weapon and tools you want.
- Their current prices and the total replacement cost of the complete loadout.
- Whether the weapon’s handling fits your expected range and movement.
- Whether enough budget remains for armor, ammunition, and useful support equipment.
Example builds by assignment
These are starting points derived from the cited role recommendations, not tested or cost-verified builds. Adjust them to the current match and client.
- Position holder: PKM or another LMG, with a hammer if fortification construction is part of the plan.
- Vehicle response: RPG-7 or MAAWS, with ammunition and protection included in the total budget.
- Base defender: M500 for close-range defense around buildings or fortifications.
- Infantry-position pressure: MGL-40, where explosive pressure is more useful to the team than the alternative primary.
- Vehicle support: drill when repairing vehicles is the assignment; consider mines or remote-detonated explosives when the plan calls for an explosive threat.
There is no source-backed current price table or tested ranking for these combinations. Verify unlocks, costs, and handling in the live game, especially after a patch.
