Those are publisher-reported results, not independently reproduced measurements here. Display: larger screen or sharper, faster panel?
The Redmi’s listed diagonal is 17.75cm, approximately 6.99 inches, making it larger than the vivo’s 6.83-inch screen. The vivo, however, lists a higher 2800 × 1260 resolution and a refresh rate up to 144Hz, compared with 2396 × 1080 and up to 120Hz for the Redmi.

vivo lists a 9020mAh battery and 90W charging. Xiaomi lists an 8000mAh typical battery, 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The vivo has the larger stated charging wattage; the Redmi is the one with reverse wired charging listed.
91mobiles reported PCMark battery results of 18 hours 39 minutes for the vivo and 16 hours 14 minutes for the Redmi. These are third-party reported test results, not guarantees of how long either phone will last in your use. Screen brightness, network conditions, apps and other factors affect endurance.

Price difference: check the exact variant before comparing
On 91mobiles’ comparison page, accessed October 4, 2026, the displayed Amazon prices were ₹39,865 for the vivo T5 Pro and ₹27,999 for the Redmi Note 17 5G—a snapshot gap of ₹11,866. The listed configurations and current retailer offers can change, so this is not a fixed price difference between equivalent variants.
On the same date, vivo’s official India e-store listed ₹41,999 for the T5 Pro 5G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. That official-store listing is a different price reference from the Amazon price displayed by 91mobiles.
