The vivo T4 5G is the stronger on-paper choice for battery capacity and wired charging; the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G (India) offers a more versatile listed rear-camera setup, an IP66 rating, and Xiaomi’s stated longer software-support period. Both have 6.77-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED displays. The displayed prices show a ₹4,000 gap, but do not establish a like-for-like comparison, so check the same RAM and storage configuration before deciding which is better value.

vivo T4 5G vs Redmi Note 15 5G: key specifications

This comparison covers the India-market vivo T4 5G and Redmi Note 15 5G specifically; specifications should not be assumed to apply to global or 4G versions. Figures below come from the manufacturers or 91mobiles, as identified in the table. [91mobiles comparison] [vivo India] [Xiaomi India]

How much is the price difference?

91mobiles displayed the vivo T4 at ₹24,999 on Flipkart and the Redmi Note 15 5G at ₹28,999 on Amazon—a ₹4,000 difference in that listing snapshot. The listing does not establish that those prices were for matching RAM and storage configurations, and seller, stock, bank offers and checkout prices can change. Treat this as a snapshot, not a reliable like-for-like value verdict. Check the same storage tier and final price at purchase. [91mobiles comparison]

Which phone has the better display?

Both manufacturers list a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. vivo specifies 2392 × 1080 resolution for the T4. Xiaomi describes the Redmi panel as curved. Their advertised peak-brightness figures are not directly comparable: vivo lists 5,000 nits as local peak brightness, while Xiaomi advertises 3,200 nits peak brightness. Different measurement definitions mean those numbers alone do not establish which screen will look brighter in everyday use. [vivo India] [Xiaomi India]

Battery life and charging: vivo’s clearest advantage on paper

vivo lists a 7,300 mAh typical battery capacity for the T4 (7,170 mAh rated) and charging up to 90 W. Xiaomi lists 5,520 mAh and 45 W for the Redmi Note 15 5G. These specifications make the T4 the more compelling pick if battery capacity and charging ceiling are priorities, but they do not guarantee a particular runtime or charge time; those depend on usage, settings, temperature and charging conditions. [vivo India] [Xiaomi India]

Camera comparison: flexibility versus megapixels

The Redmi’s listed rear cameras include a 108 MP OIS main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. The T4 has a 50 MP Sony IMX882 OIS main camera and a 2 MP bokeh camera. The ultra-wide lens gives the Redmi a more flexible listed rear-camera arrangement for wider scenes. A larger megapixel count, by itself, does not prove better image quality; sensor behavior, processing and shooting conditions matter too. vivo lists a 32 MP front camera. 91mobiles lists the Redmi front camera at 20 MP, while the Xiaomi product text reviewed here does not show its full front-camera details. Performance: what the specifications and listed benchmarks can tell you

The T4 uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, while the Redmi uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. 91mobiles lists Geekbench multi-core scores of 3,334 for vivo and 1,528 for Redmi, and AnTuTu scores of 797,572 and 868,311, respectively. These are third-party listing figures, not tests conducted for this article; the comparison page does not document test conditions or methodology in the cited material. The differing results do not support declaring one phone universally faster. For a purchase decision, consider the apps and games you use and look for comparable independent testing with a stated methodology. [91mobiles comparison]

Durability and software support

Water and dust resistance

The T4 is rated IP65 and the Redmi IP66. These ratings describe tested ingress protection, not permission to deliberately immerse either phone; protection can also diminish with wear or damage. Xiaomi additionally promotes drop testing and certification, but that does not make the device damage-proof. [vivo India] [Xiaomi India]

Update commitments

Xiaomi states four years of OS updates and six years of security patches for the Redmi Note 15 5G. 91mobiles lists two years of OS updates and three years of security updates for the vivo T4, but vivo’s current official support commitment was not established in the sources reviewed here. On the documented commitments, Redmi has the clearer support advantage; confirm vivo’s current policy before treating the listing as definitive. [Xiaomi India] [91mobiles comparison]

Which one should you buy?

  • Choose the vivo T4 5G if its larger listed battery and higher wired-charging ceiling matter most, or if you prefer its listed 32 MP front camera.
  • Choose the Redmi Note 15 5G if you want an ultra-wide rear camera, prefer the more flexible listed rear-camera arrangement, value its IP66 rating, or prioritize Xiaomi’s stated update commitment.
  • Compare both offers carefully if price is the deciding factor: match RAM and storage, compare the actual seller and checkout price, and account for any bank offer or stock difference.

Both product pages note that specifications and availability are market-specific; vivo also says network availability depends on carrier infrastructure and that specifications can vary by batch. Check that the exact India 5G model and your carrier bands and coverage suit your location before buying. [vivo India] [Xiaomi India]
