That announcement does not establish that the offer is still available or that the same terms apply today; check the offer shown in your Verizon checkout before ordering.
What Verizon’s announced offer included
Verizon said new and existing customers could get a Pixel 10 Pro “on us” by trading in a Google, Apple, Motorola, or Samsung phone “in any condition” and having Unlimited Ultimate. The offer fine print covered up to $1,799.99 in purchase value for a Pixel 10 Pro 128 GB, Pixel 10 Pro XL, or Pixel 10 Pro Fold 256 GB, subject to a new or upgraded smartphone line and a 36-month commitment. Verizon’s announcement was published on August 20, 2025; it is historical offer language, not confirmation of a live promotion.
Why “on us” did not mean an upfront free phone
Verizon describes these promotions as monthly account credits that offset the cost of a qualifying device. In its device deals FAQ, Verizon says credits may be spread over the device payment term, such as 36 months, and may take one to two billing periods to appear. You do not receive the full advertised value upfront.
The effective device cost depends on receiving all the required credits. Verizon says credits may stop if you no longer meet eligibility requirements, including by leaving a required plan, and that the account must be current. Consider the remaining device balance and lost credits before changing plans, canceling service, or otherwise changing the qualifying arrangement.

Trade-in rules depend on the specific promotion
For the 2025 launch offer, Verizon said eligible Google, Apple, Motorola, and Samsung phones could be traded in “in any condition.” Verizon’s general trade-in FAQ describes other promotions that may require good working and cosmetic condition; it also notes that some existing-customer offers require the trade-in phone to have been active on a Verizon account for 60 consecutive days. What to verify before you order
Because a historical announcement cannot confirm a current deal, inspect the terms presented in your Verizon checkout and confirm:

- Instead of typing, use Gemini Live to have a natural, free-flowing conversation; point your camera at what you’re curious about – like a sea creature at the aquarium – or chat - Gemini to brainstorm ideas or get things done across apps[4]
- Whether the offer is currently available to you and whether it requires a new line or permits an upgrade.
- The required plan and whether it must remain active for the full credit term.
- Which trade-in brands and models qualify, the accepted condition, and any account-activity rules.
- The device configuration covered, total bill credits, how long credits run, and when they begin.
- What happens to remaining credits if you change plans, disconnect a line, or otherwise stop qualifying.
Compare the ongoing cost of any required plan as well as the device credits. A large advertised credit may not be the best value if the plan costs more than an alternative you would otherwise choose. The published 2025 terms do not establish the values for a live offer in 2026.

The Verizon announcement tied its promotion to a qualifying purchase, line, plan, and trade-in under Verizon’s terms. It does not say that buying a Pixel 10 Pro from another retailer, including Amazon, qualifies for Verizon promotional credits. Do not assume an outside purchase is eligible unless current Verizon terms explicitly confirm it.
