Your washer’s exact coverage depends on its model, purchase and delivery dates, and the terms in its matching manual. Some manuals list longer coverage for named parts only—not for every repair cost.
What Samsung washer warranties generally cover
Samsung says most of its U.S. home appliances include a one-year manufacturer warranty covering parts and labor for defects in materials or workmanship under normal household use. “Most” is not a guarantee of the terms for a particular washer; Samsung directs owners to the product manual for full conditions. How component-specific extensions work
A Samsung U.S.A. washer manual located for this article lists the following schedule. It is an example for the model covered by that manual, not a warranty schedule for every Samsung washer. Check the manual for the exact model before relying on these terms.

The longer component terms do not mean labor, diagnosis, or related components are covered for the same period. The cited manual says coverage starts from delivery and applies to products purchased and used in the United States, installed, operated, and maintained according to its instructions.

How to check your washer’s warranty
- Identify the washer. Find the full model and serial numbers on the appliance label or in your records.
- Locate its manual and terms. Use Samsung Support to find the product page and the manual that matches the model. Read the warranty section, including component coverage and exclusions.
- Check the coverage record. Use Samsung’s warranty checker and registered-product details to review coverage dates. Samsung says customers who believe an expiration date is incorrect can open the registered product details and follow the validation instructions.
- Keep proof of purchase or delivery. The cited washer terms say Samsung may request the original dated bill of sale or proof of delivery for service.
Do not assume product registration is required to create warranty coverage, or that a listed date alone guarantees a claim will be approved. The model-specific terms and Samsung’s coverage record determine what applies.
How to request warranty service
Contact Samsung for problem determination and service instructions. The cited manual says warranty service is performed through an authorized Samsung service center. For an arranged in-home visit, make the washer accessible. The manual describes in-home service within the contiguous United States, subject to authorized-servicer availability and access to the appliance; where in-home service is unavailable, another arrangement, such as transporting the product, may apply.

Common exclusions and limits
Samsung’s U.S. appliance terms describe warranty coverage for manufacturing defects and list exclusions that can include shipping, delivery, or installation damage; misuse or accidents; unauthorized parts or repairs; incorrect electrical supply; failure to follow operating or maintenance instructions; and commercial or other use outside normal consumer use. The manual may add terms, exclusions, or limits.
A leak, unusual noise, or breakdown is not automatically covered: eligibility depends on the cause, how the washer was installed and used, and the exact model terms. The cited washer warranty is limited to products purchased and used in the United States; owners elsewhere should check Samsung’s terms for their country.

Manufacturer warranty, Samsung Care+, and retailer plans
Samsung’s U.S. support page describes Care+ service contracts for mechanical and electrical breakdowns after the 12-month manufacturer warranty. Coverage, exclusions, eligibility, price, and the plan administrator depend on the current terms and the washer model. Review Samsung Care+ terms for home appliances before deciding whether a plan fits your situation.
If you bought an extended warranty from a retailer, Samsung says to file claims through that retailer. Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Best Buy are examples cited by Samsung; the retailer plan is a separate contract, so follow its own documents and claim process. To compare a plan with the manufacturer warranty, check:
- When coverage starts and ends, and whether a waiting period applies.
- Which components and failure causes are covered.
- Whether parts, labor, diagnosis, transport, and in-home service are included.
- Service geography, exclusions, and any authorized-provider requirements.
- Claim steps and proof-of-purchase requirements.
- The plan price relative to the repair costs you could have to pay.
A Samsung promotion offering a one-year warranty extension for eligible appliance purchases made July 9 through September 30, 2026, has ended. Its terms required claim submission through the SmartThings app. Do not assume an earlier purchase qualified; check the promotion terms and your product record.
