U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reportedly took in a net $241.08 million during the trading week of September 28 through October 2, 2026, marking a third consecutive week of inflows. The total was far below the $2.39 billion reported for the previous five sessions, and gains were concentrated in BlackRock’s IBIT while several other funds saw outflows.
What the $241 million figure covers
Bitcoin.com News reported that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $241.08 million in net inflows from September 28 through October 2, citing SoSoValue. It is a weekly figure, not October-to-date. Bitcoin Magazine separately reported more than $241 million for the period and credited Farside Investors; the two reports broadly agree on the rounded total. The underlying tracker tables were not independently reviewed here, so these figures are best treated as reported totals rather than a fresh calculation.
Both reports described the result as a third consecutive week of positive net flows. That means reported purchases exceeded redemptions across the funds over the stated week; it does not mean every ETF attracted money.
Inflows slowed sharply from the prior week
Bitcoin.com News put the preceding five-session period’s net inflows at $2.39 billion, compared with $241.08 million for September 28–October 2. On that same reported basis, the latest weekly total was much smaller, even though it remained positive.

- SELF-CUSTODY, NO EXCHANGE OR CUSTODIAN REQUIRED: You hold two of the three keys in the Bitkey system – one on your phone and one on your Bitkey device. The third is stored on Bitkey’s server and cannot move your bitcoin on its own.
- NO SEED PHRASE: Set up and use Bitkey without creating or storing a seed phrase.
- 2-of-3 MULTISIG: Three keys are stored separately across your phone, Bitkey device, and Bitkey’s server. Any two keys are required to move your bitcoin.
- BUILT-IN RECOVERY: Encrypted backup and recovery tools can help you regain access if you lose your phone or Bitkey device. You can also designate a Recovery Contact.
The same outlet reported September net inflows of $2.65 billion, describing it as the second-largest monthly result since October 2025. That monthly figure covers a different period from the final week’s $241.08 million and should not be read as an October total.
IBIT’s gains outweighed outflows elsewhere
The weekly net total concealed substantial differences between funds. Bitcoin.com News, citing SoSoValue, reported the following fund-level figures for September 28–October 2:

| Fund | Reported weekly net flow |
|---|---|
| BlackRock IBIT | +$450.18 million |
| Fidelity FBTC | −$167.94 million |
| Grayscale GBTC | −$54.58 million |
| Bitwise BITB | −$38.65 million |
IBIT’s reported inflow exceeded the category’s $241.08 million net gain because net flow is the combined result across funds: outflows from other products offset part of IBIT’s additions. The figures describe flows, not fund performance or Bitcoin’s price change.

“Uptober” is a market nickname for October’s perceived seasonal strength, not evidence that Bitcoin will rise in October 2026. The reported ETF flows establish that the cited trackers showed a positive weekly net total for the stated period. They do not establish that seasonal patterns predict returns, that ETF flows caused a particular Bitcoin price move, or that the next week will also be positive.

Bitcoin.com News published its report on October 5, 2026, and framed the open question as whether flows would remain positive. One positive week, even as the third in a streak, cannot settle that question.
