The TP-Link Archer AXE75 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 6E router with advertised wireless rates totaling about 5,378 Mbps and one 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port. Those figures describe theoretical capacity across its bands—not the speed a single phone or laptop will achieve. TP-Link’s specifications do not establish its current price or whether it is a better value than today’s alternatives, so check a live listing and compare equivalent routers before judging affordability.

What AXE5400 means on the Archer AXE75

AXE5400 is a product-class label for the router’s combined advertised capacity across three frequency bands. TP-Link lists 574 Mbps at 2.4 GHz, 2,402 Mbps at 5 GHz, and 2,402 Mbps at 6 GHz. Added together, those rates total about 5,378 Mbps, marketed as AXE5400. They are manufacturer specifications, not an independent speed test or a promise that one connected device will download at that rate. TP-Link’s US product page describes Wi-Fi speeds “up to 5400 Mbps”; the “up to” figure should be read as an aggregate across bands.

Band TP-Link advertised maximum radio rate
2.4 GHz 574 Mbps
5 GHz 2,402 Mbps
6 GHz 2,402 Mbps

Can your devices use Wi-Fi 6E and 6 GHz?

The AXE75 broadcasts on 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz, using IEEE 802.11ax across all three bands according to TP-Link. To connect on 6 GHz, a client device must itself support Wi-Fi 6E (or a later standard with 6 GHz support) and have compatible drivers and software. Devices without 6 GHz support can still connect on supported 2.4 or 5 GHz bands, but they cannot use the AXE75’s 6 GHz band.

Even with a compatible client, the 6 GHz band’s usefulness depends on the device, distance, walls, interference, and configuration. A router’s total AXE rating does not predict a particular client’s internet speed: results also depend on the internet plan, modem, router placement, client capabilities, and other network traffic.

Ports, coverage, and mesh compatibility

One 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port

TP-Link lists one 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port. It is not a claim that every Ethernet port on the router supports 2.5 Gbps. Whether the faster port helps depends on how it is configured and whether the modem, internet service, and wired client can use the higher link speed. If one part of that connection is limited to a lower speed, the port alone will not make the connection faster.

Coverage is not guaranteed by the bedroom label

The manufacturer lists six fixed antennas with beamforming and describes the router as suited to “2-3 Bedroom Houses.” That is a coverage category, not a measured guarantee for every home. Building materials, floor plan, router placement, interference, and client hardware all affect the signal and usable speed.

EasyMesh and hardware-version checks

TP-Link’s current US product page lists EasyMesh compatibility. That makes a compatible router or extender a possible way to expand coverage, but compatibility should be checked for the exact device model and hardware revision before purchase. TP-Link’s V1 product page instead highlights OneMesh, while its June 5, 2026 datasheet covers US V2.0 and V2.6. Features shown for one revision should not be assumed to apply to another; confirm the version on the product listing or device label and consult its matching TP-Link specifications.

What is established about price and performance?

The available official product specifications establish the AXE75’s advertised bands, radio rates, antennas, port, and current US page’s EasyMesh listing. They do not establish today’s selling price, stock, or value against current competitors. Nor do those specifications provide independent numerical results for speed, range, or latency. RTINGS identifies the AXE75 as a tri-band 2.4/5/6 GHz Wi-Fi 6E router, but that identification alone is not a performance benchmark: RTINGS’ review.

To assess whether it is a good buy, check a current retailer listing for the country and hardware revision you need, then compare routers on more than their AXE class labels:

  • Wi-Fi generation and which bands your devices can use.
  • Per-band advertised rates, separated from independently measured throughput.
  • WAN/LAN port speeds and how many ports support each speed.
  • Measured coverage and performance at different distances, where comparable tests are available.
  • Mesh ecosystem and compatibility with the router’s exact hardware revision.
  • Security and support features, including any paid-tier limits.
  • Current street price for comparable models.

Check the hardware revision before relying on a feature

TP-Link maintains separate AXE75 materials for different versions. Its V1 page, for example, lists a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and USB 3.0, while the current US product page and the V2.0/V2.6 datasheet are separate references. Do not assume a feature listed for V1 is present on a V2 unit, or vice versa. Match the revision shown for the unit you plan to buy to the corresponding official specifications.

For setup, TP-Link presents its Tether app as an option, saying to install the app and follow its on-screen directions. This is the manufacturer’s setup guidance, not a guarantee of setup time or ease for every network.
