The POCO X7 Pro, REDMI Note 14 Pro+ 5G, and REDMI Note 14 Pro 5G are three phones whose IR-blaster support is documented by Xiaomi. That makes them a useful shortlist—not a tested ranking of the best phones overall. Check the exact regional model before buying: manufacturer documentation cited here covers specific markets and does not establish that every regional version has the same hardware.
Which smartphones have a confirmed IR blaster?
Xiaomi documentation confirms IR blaster support for these models. The cited pages are regional manufacturer sources, so use them to verify the named models, then check the product page or specifications for the exact version sold in your market.
| Phone | What Xiaomi documentation confirms | Regional or timing note |
|---|---|---|
| POCO X7 Pro | Xiaomi UAE lists an “IR blaster” in the phone’s specifications. Xiaomi UAE specifications. | The use of the feature for controlling TVs and air conditioners is described on Xiaomi Indonesia’s FAQ page. Confirm the local SKU and availability. |
| REDMI Note 14 Pro+ 5G | Xiaomi Indonesia’s product specifications and FAQ confirm an IR blaster. Xiaomi Indonesia specifications. | The product page lists 8+256 GB and 12+512 GB configurations and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. |
| REDMI Note 14 Pro 5G | Xiaomi Indonesia’s FAQ confirms IR blaster support. Xiaomi Indonesia FAQ. | The FAQ also specifies 45 W charging. Check local release timing and the product page for the version sold in your market before treating it as a 2025 release. |
These confirmations do not amount to a complete list of phones with IR blasters, a worldwide variant database, or an independent comparison. In particular, the available documentation does not establish that all similarly named regional versions include the same hardware.
What can an IR blaster do?
An IR blaster lets a phone transmit infrared remote-control commands to compatible appliances. Xiaomi’s POCO X7 Pro FAQ says in Indonesian, “IR blaster memungkinkan perangkat untuk mengontrol peralatan seperti TV dan AC, bertindak sebagai remote control;” Xiaomi’s sentence describes controlling equipment such as TVs and air conditioners as though the phone were a remote control. It does not promise compatibility with every television, air conditioner, brand, or model.

Before relying on the phone as a replacement remote, check whether the appliance accepts infrared commands and whether the phone’s remote-control software supports it. An IR blaster is useful only where the appliance and the available control options are compatible.
How to choose among these phones
- Verify the exact regional model. Match the full model name and market on the manufacturer’s local product or support page; do not assume that a similarly named variant has identical hardware.
- Check local price and availability. These manufacturer sources confirm feature support, but do not provide current prices or inventory for your market.
- Compare the rest of your priorities. Consider camera, performance, battery, display, and software support using current local specifications and suitable independent testing. The specifications cited here do not show which phone performs best in those areas.
- Check the date if you need a 2025 release. The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G FAQ confirms the IR feature, but the cited documentation does not firmly establish release timing for every market.
Why this is a shortlist, not a “best overall” ranking
The official Xiaomi pages establish IR support for these named models in the documented markets. They do not provide current comparative prices, inventory, hands-on test results, a complete market survey, or a shared method for ranking overall phone quality. Without that evidence, calling one of these phones the best overall would go beyond what the specifications confirm.
