UKG time tracking lets employees record work time and lets managers review timecards, approvals, and exceptions. The way you use it depends on the UKG product and the features your employer has enabled: you may use a mobile option or a workplace timeclock. For access, login problems, or corrections, contact your company’s UKG administrator.
How do I track time in UKG?
First identify which UKG product your employer uses. UKG Ready brings together HR, payroll, time and attendance, and scheduling. UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) is positioned for organizations with more complex workforce needs. UKG Pro is an HCM product that also includes time and attendance; it is distinct from Pro WFM. UKG says UKG Dimensions is now called UKG Pro Workforce Management.
Depending on your employer’s setup, time entry may be available through mobile tools or a configured workplace clock. Your employer controls which options are available and how time is submitted and approved. UKG’s employee access guidance says: “If you’re an employee trying to log in to your UKG system, please contact your company’s UKG administrator directly.”
How do I clock in or out?
Use the time-entry method your employer has enabled and follow its rules for clocking in, clocking out, breaks, and schedule changes. There is no single punch procedure that applies to every UKG employer. If you are unsure which app or clock to use, or a punch does not appear, ask your manager or UKG administrator rather than trying a different system.

UKG offers the InTouch DX physical timeclock for its workforce-management solutions. UKG describes features including personalized interaction, finger-scan technology, and TouchFree ID as an available option. These are vendor descriptions, not independent performance results. Confirm with your employer or UKG which device and features are deployed; compatibility of generic third-party clocks is not established by UKG’s cited product information.
How do I fix a missing punch?
Report the missing punch through the correction process your employer requires. The exact steps, who can edit a timecard, and any approval requirements are employer-specific; UKG’s public product information does not establish one universal correction workflow. Include the date and approximate time of the missed punch, and contact your manager or UKG administrator if you cannot find the correction option.

Timekeeping systems can flag exceptions for review. UKG Ready describes approvals and alerts for missing punches or overtime, while Pro WFM describes pay rules and exception management. Your employer’s policies determine how a particular exception is resolved and whether a manager must approve a change.

What should an organization compare?
For a product evaluation or rollout, compare the requirements that will shape the actual timekeeping workflow:
- Workforce complexity and scale: UKG positions Ready for small to midsize organizations and Pro WFM for complex workforce needs.
- Time-entry methods: Confirm whether employees will use mobile access, a physical clock, or both. Do not assume an unconfirmed browser or self-service channel is included in a particular deployment.
- Rules and exceptions: Check how pay rules, approvals, missing punches, overtime alerts, and compliance requirements will be handled.
- Integrations: UKG Ready names integrations including Indeed, NetSuite, QuickBooks, and TurboTax, and offers additional apps through the UKG Marketplace. Verify the specific connector, its availability, and the data it exchanges for your configuration.
- Hardware and deployment: Establish whether a clock is necessary, which UKG-compatible hardware is supported, and who handles installation and configuration. Pricing and deployment terms are not established in the cited product information.
