A walkthrough reports the same reward—500 XP—for either choice.
When does the choice appear?
Get Junior follows Broken Flowers in the Novigrad main-quest sequence. Priscilla’s lead on Dandelion points Geralt toward Whoreson Junior; after Geralt learns about Junior’s meeting with Ciri in the playable flashback Ciri’s Story: Visiting Junior, the kill-or-spare decision appears near the end of the quest. The Gamer Guides walkthrough reports that either choice awards 500 XP. The walkthrough does not state a publication year for that figure.
What changes if you kill or spare Junior?

The character encounter changes, but the walkthrough characterizes the decision as having no material effect on the larger plot. The documented distinction is not evidence of a different main-game ending.
Does sparing Junior avoid failing an objective?
The sources available for this choice do not establish that sparing Junior guarantees every objective in Get Junior will be completed. They also do not establish that killing him voids a trophy or achievement. If you are pursuing a specific objective or trophy, do not treat either outcome as a verified guarantee; the walkthroughs reviewed do not answer those questions.

Could Gangs of Novigrad be affected?
Cleaver’s side quest, Gangs of Novigrad, can intersect with the hideout portion of Get Junior. Prima Games’ quest guide warns that the side quest can fail at a particular hideout stage if Geralt has not spoken to Cleaver or helped him attack Junior’s men earlier. That is a route- and stage-specific timing caution, not a universal rule that every playthrough will fail the side quest.

How to choose
- Choose based on the later scene you want: killing Junior leads to Dudu’s takeover; sparing him leaves Junior publicly degraded.
- For immediate XP, the Gamer Guides walkthrough reports the same 500 XP either way.
- If you care about Cleaver’s side quest, consider its timing before advancing through the hideout sequence.
