A “Live” status did not mean my connector’s public listing was immediately available. In my Publora submission to Claude’s connectors directory, the portal showed “Live,” while the listing page said “This connector doesn’t exist” for several hours. The page eventually appeared without my sending the support email I had drafted. That was my experience with one submission—not a guarantee about how the portal behaves today.
This is a dated account by Eugeniya Ivanova, published September 24, 2026, about submitting Publora, a social publishing integration with eighteen tools, to Claude’s connectors directory. Its value is practical: it shows why a portal status, a validator warning, and an actually usable connector should be checked separately. Portal behavior and directory requirements may have changed since the submission, so verify them in the live form before changing an implementation.
Why can a connector say “Live” but still not exist?
In my submission, the portal displayed “Live” soon after publication, but opening the listing returned “This connector doesn’t exist.” The mismatch lasted several hours. The listing eventually appeared, and I did not need to send the support email I had prepared.
A status label and a reachable public listing are different checks. If this happens, open the listing URL in a fresh session and confirm that it loads before treating publication as complete. A delay in one submission does not establish a normal publishing delay or service-level guarantee.

Why did the portal say my MCP server had no authentication?
The portal reportedly inferred that my server did not require authentication because it could retrieve the tool list through tools/list without a token. But listing available tools and invoking them are distinct operations: in my case, the tools could be enumerated without authorization but could not be called without it. I selected OAuth manually.
When a review form bases its auth inference on tool enumeration, test the actual invocation path as well. Configure the authorization method the service requires; do not assume that an unauthenticated list request means every tool call is public.

Why did the directory mark every tool title as missing?
The validator marked all eighteen of my tools as missing titles. I attributed the warnings to a metadata mismatch: my server supplied the top-level Tool.title field, while the directory appeared to check annotations.title. The article reports that the top-level field was added to the MCP specification in June 2025, but that protocol detail and the directory’s current validator behavior should be checked against current documentation before you change your server.

A title present in one field may not satisfy a validator looking elsewhere; the warning alone does not establish that your tool has no title at all.

What should you do when the instructions and submission form disagree?
I found several differences between the written instructions and the live submission form:
- The form had ten steps, not eleven.
- The icon field requested a URL rather than an uploaded file.
- The listing URL lacked the
/connectors/segment shown in the documentation, while the approval email reportedly used the older URL pattern.
Use the current form and the URL it actually generates as your immediate reference, then verify the final public listing. An old screenshot, email, or example URL may not match the current interface.

Does “Save and exit” save a connector submission?
In my case, choosing “Save and exit” lost a ten-step submission draft. That is one reported experience, not proof that drafts are never saved or that the behavior remains the same. If the portal does not clearly confirm that a draft was saved, avoid relying on it: complete the form in one sitting where practical, or preserve your answers separately before leaving.

How can you avoid chasing a false blocker?
I also describe how suspicions about a missing network, a 403 response, invalid tokens, and a required parameter change did not hold up when I checked live behavior. Treat an interpretation as a hypothesis until a request or other direct check confirms it.

- Reproduce the issue with the relevant live request or page before escalating it.
- Separate what the portal displays from what the service actually allows.
- Change one suspected cause at a time so you can tell whether it affects the result.
- Describe an unverified cause as a possibility, not a confirmed defect.
The submission concerned Publora, which I describe as a service for scheduling and publishing across ten social networks and using from Claude. That context does not establish that the service or its current directory listing has been independently tested.
