To get started in The Crew Motorfest, finish the introduction, unlock a Playlist, and use its themed events to learn the game before branching into free-roam challenges or multiplayer. Bucks come from activities and rewards, but Ubisoft’s published guidance does not establish a current best Bucks-per-minute method. Playing events with friends can earn bonus Crew Bucks.
What to do first
- Finish the introduction. It opens the way to the game’s Playlist-based activities.
- Choose an accessible Playlist. Playlists are themed campaigns made up of races and other challenges. Some events loan you a specific vehicle, so you can try an activity without first owning the car it requires. Ubisoft explains the Playlist format and loaned vehicles in its Starting Guide.
- Mix events with exploration. When you want a break from a campaign, explore the island and try activities such as Speedtraps, Slaloms, Escapes, drifting, Photo Quests, and Treasure Hunts.
- Check your garage as rewards arrive. New vehicles and parts can change which events are convenient to attempt. Ubisoft’s Fast Fav feature lets you quickly swap vehicles while driving.
How progression is organized
Ubisoft’s progression explainer describes four Main Stage tracks. The structure below is the documented system; the game’s menus are the best place to check the live season’s specific rewards and requirements.

In the system Ubisoft described, the three main tracks reset monthly. At a reset, ranks earned on those tracks convert into Motorfest Levels and grant Legend Points, which can be spent on permanent stats and perks. That explanation dates to September 2023, so use the current in-game Main Stage screens to confirm what is available now.
How to earn Bucks
Earn Bucks by taking part in activities and collecting their available rewards. Ubisoft’s official guidance supports several routes—events, exploration challenges, progression, and some competitive modes—but does not publish a comparable current payout table or verified fastest-farming ranking. Choose activities you enjoy, check their on-screen rewards, and avoid assuming one event will always be the best use of your time.

- Play events with friends when convenient. Ubisoft’s September 2023 Starting Guide says players earn bonus Crew Bucks for every event they complete together. This is a description of the reward, not a measured estimate of how much faster it is to earn Bucks.
- Try free-roam challenges. Explore activities and discoveries can award Bucks alongside other progression rewards.
- Follow live activity rewards. Available rewards can vary by mode and season; check the activity details in-game rather than relying on an old payout list.
When multiplayer and Main Stage open
Ubisoft Help says multiplayer modes become available after you finish the introduction and unlock at least one Playlist. The Main Stage is listed as accessible after unlocking three Playlists. Console multiplayer may also require an active online subscription from the relevant platform. Confirm the current requirements for your platform in Ubisoft Help.

Playlists and other live content change over time, so treat any list of currently available activities as temporary. Ubisoft’s October 7, 2026 Season 11 patch notes announce Kaua‘i Expeditions and Tomb Raider: Secrets of Ni‘ihau as new Playlists. The Tomb Raider Playlist requires Year Pass 4 or standalone DLC. The notes also announce a Nintendo Switch 2 release for October 8, 2026; that date is an announced release date, not proof of availability on October 7. Check the Season 11 patch notes and your platform’s store for current availability.
