If you want AR glasses for flights, the October 6, 2026 Tom’s Guide roundup names six Amazon offers worth considering—but the listed prices are time-stamped, not guaranteed live deals. Before buying, first confirm your phone, laptop, or handheld can send video over USB-C. Then choose based on the features you will actually use, rather than the sale label alone.
Which AR glasses deals did Tom’s Guide identify?
Jason England’s October 6, 2026 Tom’s Guide article lists six offers and describes them as options for travel viewing and gaming. The prices below are those reported in that article on that date; Amazon prices and availability can change, so check the listing before you buy. The article’s recommendations and price-history judgments are attributed to England, not independently verified here. Tom’s Guide, October 6, 2026
| Model | Price reported October 6, 2026 | What the article highlights |
|---|---|---|
| RayNeo Air 4 Pro | $239 | 1080p micro-OLED, 120Hz, HDR10, and a 46-degree field of view; positioned as a lower-cost starting point. |
| XREAL xbx a01+ | $254 | England describes this as an event-specific historic low, down from $299. That price-history assessment is his, not independently validated here. |
| VITURE Luma Pro | $359 | 1200p micro-OLED, 120Hz, a 52-degree field of view, myopia-adjustment dials, electronic dimming, and 3DoF tracking. |
| RayNeo GT Max | $364 | Named in the roundup; the article’s deal list is the cited source for this reported offer. |
| VITURE Beast | $529 | A 58-degree field of view and dimming are among the features the article emphasizes. |
| XREAL One Pro | $549 | A 57-degree field of view and onboard spatial chip are highlighted. |
The roundup also discusses the VITURE Pro 2 at $299. England says that was its usual everyday price, despite a $379 reference price, rather than a meaningful October discount. Treat that as his price-history judgment, not an independently confirmed tracking record. Tom’s Guide’s October roundup

Which pair makes sense for a flight?
AR glasses act as a private, eye-level screen for a connected device. In the travel scenario described by England, they let you watch or play without holding a phone or leaning over a laptop on a cramped tray table. That is the article author’s account, not an independent hands-on finding in this article.
#1 Best Overall
- YOUR PRIVATE 147” BIG SCREEN, ANYWHERE — Plug the a01+ into your phone, tablet, handheld, or laptop and a giant 147” screen appears in front of you—for movies, gaming, or getting work done on the couch, on a flight, or in bed. A true portable display you wear, in a soda-can-sized 210g case that drops in your pocket.
- ALWAYS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU — The screen follows your view with smooth, stabilized tracking and stays centered as you look around—nothing to anchor or set up, and no drift to reset. Press play and your big screen is simply there.
- 62G — LIGHT ENOUGH TO FORGET — At just 62g, with three nose-pad sizes and flexible temples, the a01+ stays comfortable through a long movie or flight, even lying down.
- LOOKS LIKE SUNGLASSES, NOT A GADGET — A slim, sunglasses-style frame with a signature semi-transparent chassis and neon logo—light and low-profile enough to actually wear out.
- WORKS WITH YOUR USB-C GEAR — No Battery to Charge — Connects and powers over a single USB-C DisplayPort cable: iPhone 15/16/17, iPad, DP-capable Android phones, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Mac and PC. Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 and older (Lightning) iPhones need an adapter. For long phone sessions, add the XREAL Hub to charge and watch at once.
For a lower-cost entry point
The RayNeo Air 4 Pro is the least expensive of the six listed offers at $239 in the roundup. Its cited 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, and 46-degree field of view are the relevant trade-offs to weigh against the higher-priced models. Confirm the manufacturer’s current specifications and listing before purchase.
For gaming and fit adjustments
The VITURE Luma Pro’s reported 1200p, 120Hz display and 52-degree field of view may appeal if gaming and a wider image matter to you. The article also cites adjustable myopia dials, electronic dimming, and 3DoF tracking. Check whether those adjustments suit your prescription and intended use; the cited roundup is not a substitute for confirming compatibility or fit.

- 【BOLDEST: NEXT-LEVEL CLARITY & AUDIO — 1250 Nits + HARMAN AudioEFX】1250 nits of peak brightness — over 2× brighter than the competition — means you can actually see your screen outdoors, in sunlight, no squinting required. Pair that with HARMAN AudioEFX: deeper bass, wider soundstage, and crystal-clear highs tuned by the world's leading audio engineers. Other XR glasses make you choose between picture and sound. The Beast gives you both — cranked to eleven.
For a wider premium display
The VITURE Beast and XREAL One Pro are the two most expensive options in the listed offers. The article gives them 58-degree and 57-degree fields of view, respectively, and highlights dimming on the Beast and an onboard spatial chip on the One Pro. Compare those features with your actual need for a wider view or spatial functionality before paying more.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFor the lowest reported price
At $254, the XREAL xbx a01+ is the second-lowest listed price, and England calls it a historic event low. That makes the deal claim potentially useful, but it remains tied to his October 6 assessment; it does not establish what the product costs now or how long the price will last.

Will your phone, laptop, or handheld work with AR glasses?
Compatibility is a prerequisite: the host device must support video output over USB-C. RayNeo advises checking for DP Alt Mode, DisplayPort over USB-C, or Thunderbolt 4, or confirming video output with the device maker. A USB-C connector alone does not prove that a device can send video to glasses. RayNeo compatibility guidance
Support can vary between regional versions of the same device and may change with software updates. Verify the exact model and variant you own, along with the glasses’ current requirements, before ordering. If the device does not support USB-C video output, do not assume a cable or adapter will make it compatible.

How to judge whether the discount is real
A crossed-out reference price does not by itself show that an offer is a good deal. The October roundup draws a distinction between the XREAL xbx a01+ at $254, which England calls an event-specific historic low from $299, and the VITURE Pro 2 at $299, which he says was its regular price despite a $379 reference anchor. Those are the article author’s assessments; the available evidence does not independently establish the products’ full price histories.

For any model, compare the live price with its recent typical price if you can find a reliable record, then consider whether its features solve a problem you have. A lower price on an incompatible device setup is not a useful deal, and a higher field of view or tracking feature may not matter for watching a film on a flight.
