Teradata announced AgentBuilder on September 23, 2025, as a way to build and manage multi-agent systems using external frameworks alongside Teradata data, analytics and hybrid infrastructure. The announcement named Flowise and CrewAI for an early release, with LangChain and LangGraph planned to follow. A later January 2026 announcement listed a different, dated set of AgentBuilder options as part of Enterprise AgentStack; Teradata’s July 2026 update confirms availability of related platform services, but does not establish that the full AgentStack schedule was met.
What is Teradata AgentBuilder?
AgentBuilder is Teradata’s agent-development offering: its stated purpose is to let organizations create and manage multi-agent systems that can use data and analytics on Teradata’s Vantage platform and operate across cloud and on-premises environments. Teradata announced it on September 23, 2025, and said it would be available in private preview later that year. Teradata’s announcement describes the product’s intended capabilities, not independent performance results.
The strategy is integration rather than requiring customers to build agents in a single Teradata-owned framework. External frameworks supply agent-building and workflow components; Teradata positions its own platform as the source of enterprise data access, context, analytics, governance and hybrid deployment. That division of responsibilities is Teradata’s product positioning, not a measured comparison of frameworks or platforms.
Which frameworks did Teradata name?
The frameworks named depend on the announcement date. The September 2025 list described the early-release plan; the January 2026 list appeared in Teradata’s broader Enterprise AgentStack announcement. These should not be read as a single timeless compatibility list.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

The September statement that LangChain and LangGraph were planned follow-ons is a plan, not confirmation in itself that either was delivered on that timeline. Likewise, the January list is what Teradata named in that announcement; it should not be extended to frameworks or versions not listed there.
How Teradata says agents connect to enterprise data
Teradata describes its MCP Server as the connection layer through which agents can interact with Vantage data and related tools. The company announced the open-source MCP Server Community Edition on July 29, 2025, and said it included tools for data quality, security, feature management and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Teradata’s MCP Server announcement explains the intended toolset; it does not establish how well those tools perform in a particular customer environment.

This architecture separates the agent framework from access to business data and platform capabilities. In practical terms, a framework may orchestrate an agent’s steps, while Teradata’s MCP layer is intended to expose governed data and tools for those steps. Whether that approach fits depends on an organization’s existing framework choices, security model, data estate and deployment requirements.
How Enterprise AgentStack expands the product picture
In January 2026, Teradata grouped the capabilities into four parts: Enterprise MCP for data access, AgentBuilder for creation, AgentEngine for deployment and AgentOps for governance. The announcement also said AgentEngine could deploy agents through Docker and Kubernetes across cloud or on-premises environments. Teradata’s Enterprise AgentStack announcement presents this as a connected platform architecture.

Agent examples and templates
Teradata’s September 2025 AgentBuilder release described agents for churn analysis and system monitoring and named a SQL agent and a data science agent. The January 2026 AgentStack release listed pre-built agents for Customer Lifetime Value, SQL optimization, data science workflows and system monitoring. These are examples and templates named by Teradata, not evidence of customer outcomes or benchmarked accuracy.
Announced timing versus confirmed availability
Teradata said in January 2026 that Enterprise AgentStack would be available on cloud in Q2 2026 and on-premises later in 2026. In a July 15, 2026 update, Teradata said AI Studio was available on AWS and Teradata Factory, and AI Services were available across deployments. The update describes AI Services as helping customers identify high-value use cases, build agent-driven solutions and put AI into production. Teradata’s July 2026 update confirms those related platform elements, but does not independently confirm that the complete AgentStack cloud and on-premises schedule was fulfilled.

What the evidence does—and does not—show
Teradata’s announcements establish the company’s product plans, named integrations and stated architecture. They do not provide an independently verified AgentBuilder performance benchmark, customer case result or pricing detail. Treat claims about enterprise readiness, governance and deployment flexibility as descriptions of intended capabilities unless validated against a specific deployment.
Contemporaneous coverage from InfoWorld reported that the approach integrated third-party frameworks and platforms. The publication quoted Futurum Group CIO practice lead Dion Hinchcliffe calling the integration approach “pragmatic, given the size of investment required to deliver robust agentic capabilities well.” That is an analyst’s assessment, not a measured finding about AgentBuilder.

How to assess the approach for an organization
- Framework choice: Check the framework options and versions actually available in the intended deployment; the lists above are tied to specific announcements.
- Data access and context: Map which Vantage data, MCP tools and analytics an agent would need, and verify how access is authorized and governed in the target environment.
- Governance and identity: Confirm how the deployment handles permissions, auditability, guardrails and sensitive data. Product descriptions alone do not demonstrate the controls in a particular configuration.
- Deployment fit: Establish whether the required cloud or on-premises environment and Docker or Kubernetes workflow are supported for the specific components and release being evaluated.
- Production evidence: Ask for use-case-specific validation, operational requirements and customer evidence rather than inferring production performance from templates or an announced architecture.
