What settings can you actually change?
The official Xbox listings and a recent review do not specify keyboard, mouse, or controller mappings, remapping support, sensitivity controls, accessibility options, graphics presets, resolution, frame-rate targets, V-sync, load times, or input latency. That means there is no evidence-based set of menu instructions or graphics tweaks to recommend for every platform.
Open the game on your platform and inspect the options it exposes. Menu names and available settings may differ by edition or build, and the reviewed sources do not establish a settings-by-platform comparison. Do not assume a particular controller is required or that a graphics setting exists if it is not shown in your version.
What the platform listings tell you—and what they don’t
Temari Trials: Dojo’s Test is a single-player, logic-focused puzzle game by Afil Games with 30 stages, according to the Xbox Series X|S listing. Microsoft marks that edition as optimized for Xbox Series X|S and lists achievements and cloud saves. Its Windows listing is marked handheld optimized and lists PC and handheld play, achievements, and cloud saves.

These are platform-store listing features, not independent tests of frame rate, responsiveness, or smoothness on a particular console, PC, or handheld. The reviewed sources provide no performance measurements, so they cannot establish how well the game runs on your specific hardware. Platform coverage reported at launch included Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC; check the relevant storefront for current regional availability and edition details (TheXboxHub, March 11, 2026).
Use the puzzle mechanics to make controls feel more deliberate
There is no verified control setup to optimize, but understanding how movement works can help you avoid unnecessary inputs. The review describes temari balls that slide until they meet a wall, a goal, or another ball. A collision can move one ball while the impacting ball stays put, so a push may change the board in a way that is not obvious from its immediate target. Some chests require two hits. In the final fifteen levels of the reviewed game, redirector squares send balls off in a new right-angled direction (TheXboxHub review, October 5, 2026).

- Study the route before moving. Trace where each ball will slide and what it will hit, including other balls that could serve as temporary blocks.
- Plan the order of pushes. Consider whether moving one ball will remove a useful obstacle or leave another ball unable to reach a chest.
- Use undo to test a move. The reviewer reports that moves can be undone and levels retried from the start, which supports trying a route and backing out if it fails.
- Restart only when needed. If the board reaches a position you cannot recover from, retrying from the level’s start is an option reported in the review.
These are strategy implications of the documented puzzle mechanics, not evidence that any particular input device or configuration has been tested.
How to troubleshoot a control or performance problem
- Identify your edition and platform. Confirm whether you are playing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch; launch coverage names these platforms, but does not document identical settings across them.
- Inspect the settings in your installed build. Check the options the game actually presents for controls, accessibility, display, or performance. The reviewed material does not verify specific menu paths or settings.
- Separate input confusion from a puzzle consequence. Before repeating a move, consider whether a collision, wall, chest, or redirector caused the ball to travel as intended by the board rules.
- Undo or retry when a move has changed the board unexpectedly. The review reports both options; use them to recover or test a different sequence rather than relying on an undocumented control adjustment.
- Check the platform store listing for edition details. Optimization labels and listed features describe the storefront entry, not a performance diagnosis for your device.
What is known about difficulty and hints?
In his October 5, 2026 review, Dave Ozzy describes the game as not especially long or difficult and notes that it lacks a hint system. Those are his subjective observations, not publisher specifications or guarantees about every player’s experience. TheXboxHub disclosed receiving a free review copy from Afil Games.
