The TECNO CAMON 50 Pro pairs a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50 MP 3x telephoto camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. TECNO also advertises AI 60x SuperZoom and underwater photography, but its water-resistance guidance is cautious: it says the phone is not a professional diving tool and recommends a certified protective case for underwater use. These are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independent camera or durability test results.
What cameras does the CAMON 50 Pro have?
TECNO lists three rear cameras. The hardware specifications describe what the phone includes; they do not establish how well it performs in real-world photography.
| Camera | TECNO-listed specification |
|---|---|
| Main | 50 MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, 1/1.56-inch size, f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS) |
| Telephoto | 50 MP, 3x optical zoom, 70 mm equivalent focal length |
| Ultra-wide | 8 MP, 112-degree field of view |
TECNO describes the main camera and other camera features on its CAMON 50 Pro product page and lists the camera hardware in its technical specifications.
What does AI 60x SuperZoom mean?
TECNO markets AI 60x SuperZoom and Super-Zoom FlashSnap as camera features. Its product page presents these as capabilities but does not provide independent test results showing image quality at maximum zoom. The 3x telephoto camera is the listed optical-zoom hardware; the advertised 60x figure should not be read as proof that photos at that magnification retain the detail or clarity of optical zoom.

For a buying decision, treat 60x as a manufacturer feature claim rather than a measured quality rating. Independent comparison would be needed to assess detail, stabilization and low-light results at native and high zoom.
Can you use the CAMON 50 Pro for underwater photography?
TECNO advertises underwater photography and says its IP68 protection covers immersion up to 2 metres for 30 minutes under its stated conditions. That rating is not an open-ended guarantee for underwater shooting, and TECNO’s own guidance sets important limits.

- TECNO says, “For underwater use, we recommend a certified protective case.”
- It also says, “This device is not a professional diving tool.”
- TECNO advises against exposure to seawater and other liquids.
- The company says liquid damage is not covered under the standard warranty.
These are TECNO’s product instructions, not an independent assessment of the phone’s sealing or a particular case. The cited product materials do not identify a specific case model, so verify that any case is certified and explicitly compatible with the exact CAMON 50 Pro variant before using it.
What do IP68, IP69 and IP69K establish?
TECNO states that the CAMON 50 Pro’s IP68 and IP69 ratings conform to IEC 60529:2019, while IP69K conforms to ISO 20653:2023, under controlled laboratory conditions. The manufacturer separately describes the IP68 immersion condition as up to 2 metres for 30 minutes. These ratings refer to defined test conditions; they do not establish that protection is permanent or make every liquid exposure safe.

TECNO warns that water resistance can diminish over time. Avoid treating the rating as a reason to deliberately expose the phone to water, especially where the exposure differs from the stated conditions.

The specifications page lists a 6500 mAh battery and 45 W charging, but TECNO says battery capacity varies by region. Confirm the local configuration and network support with the seller. TECNO also promises five years of three-generation Android OS updates, subject to device specifications and market availability; the product material does not establish a universal rollout schedule for every market.
Pricing and availability depend on region and date. TECNO Pakistan announced the phone on 2026-04-05 in its Pakistan launch announcement. TECNO Mobile Pakistan’s launch-video description stated PKR 85,999 on that date; this is a historical Pakistan launch figure, not a current price or a price applicable elsewhere.
