TEAMGROUP’s T-FORCE GA PRO is an M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe 2.0 solid-state drive rated for up to 10,000 MB/s sequential reads and 8,500 MB/s sequential writes. Those figures are TEAMGROUP internal-laboratory maximums, not guaranteed everyday speeds. The drive uses InnoGrit’s IG5666 controller, a graphene heat spreader and a five-year limited warranty.
What TEAMGROUP announced
TEAMGROUP announced the T-FORCE GA PRO PCIe 5.0 SSD on November 22, 2024. The launch release described 1TB and 2TB models; current product materials list 1TB, 2TB, 4TB and 8TB versions. The larger capacity range comes from the current product page and specification sheet, not the original announcement.
The drive is a physical M.2 device using PCIe Gen5 x4 and NVMe 2.0. TEAMGROUP says its InnoGrit IG5666 multi-core controller monitors internal temperature and dynamically adjusts performance. See the launch announcement and current product page.
Rated speed and capacities
TEAMGROUP lists maximum sequential performance of 10,000 MB/s read and 8,500 MB/s write for the GA PRO family. The company states that results come from internal testing and vary with the host hardware, software and test conditions; no independent benchmark results are established here.

| Capacity | Maximum sequential read | Maximum sequential write | Endurance (TBW) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1TB | Up to 10,000 MB/s | Up to 8,500 MB/s | 600TBW |
| 2TB | Up to 10,000 MB/s | Up to 8,500 MB/s | 1,200TBW |
| 4TB | Up to 10,000 MB/s | Up to 8,500 MB/s | 2,400TBW |
| 8TB | Up to 10,000 MB/s | Up to 8,500 MB/s | 4,800TBW |
These specifications are listed in TEAMGROUP’s GA PRO specification sheet, accessed September 27, 2026. Sequential maximums should not be treated as sustained speeds for every workload.
Endurance and warranty
Current TEAMGROUP materials rate the models from 600TBW for 1TB to 4,800TBW for 8TB and specify a five-year limited warranty. Warranty coverage is governed by TEAMGROUP’s terms and the applicable country or state rules; the warranty ends when its time limit or the stated TBW limit is reached, whichever comes first.
Will it work in your system?
Check the M.2 slot and platform
You need an M.2 slot wired for PCIe 5.0 x4 to obtain Gen5 performance. A PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 slot may provide backward-compatible operation where the platform supports it, but it cannot deliver the advertised Gen5 bandwidth. Confirm the motherboard or laptop manual, CPU lane support and the exact M.2 slot designation.

Check BIOS and firmware support
TEAMGROUP advises checking the motherboard or device, processor and BIOS before purchase and recommends updating the BIOS for compatibility. Older Intel and AMD chipset boards and some laptops may not support newer PCIe interfaces even when an M.2 connector is present.
Account for system power
The specification sheet suggests a system power supply above 850W for overall power stability with a Gen5 SSD. This is TEAMGROUP’s platform recommendation, not a claim that the GA PRO itself universally requires an 850W supply.
Cooling and physical fit
High-rate Gen5 NVMe operation can produce substantial heat. TEAMGROUP recommends an adequate motherboard heatsink or active cooling to reduce the risk of thermal throttling. The standard listed dimensions with the graphene heat spreader are 80.0 × 22.0 × 3.9 mm, and the specified operating range is 0–70°C.

The graphene spreader is part of the drive design, but it does not guarantee that every system has enough airflow. Check whether your motherboard’s M.2 cover, laptop enclosure or aftermarket cooler clears the drive. TEAMGROUP also lists an optional AirFlow I heatsink configuration with different dimensions, so verify the exact retail package before assuming a cooler is included.

- Confirm that the target M.2 socket supports PCIe 5.0 x4 and that the CPU provides the required lanes.
- Update the motherboard or device BIOS if the manufacturer lists compatibility updates.
- Check clearance around the M.2 socket and choose the correct heatsink configuration.
- Install the drive with the system powered off, secure it with the board’s M.2 screw or latch, and fit the approved heatsink without excessive pressure.
- After booting, verify that the firmware and capacity are detected in BIOS and the operating system before benchmarking.
Firmware and support
TEAMGROUP says to use its SMART tool to check drive firmware and directs owners to the support download center for compatible updates. The support page accessed September 27, 2026 lists a GA PRO 1TB/2TB/4TB/8TB firmware-update tool dated August 17, 2026: TEAMGROUP Support Download Center. Match the tool to the exact capacity and model, and back up important data before updating.
What the headline speed means in practice
10,000 MB/s is a sequential-read ceiling measured under TEAMGROUP’s stated laboratory conditions. Large, contiguous transfers on a Gen5-capable desktop are the scenario most likely to approach it. Operating-system responsiveness, game loading and mixed small-file work also depend on latency, queue depth, CPU, firmware, thermals and the rest of the storage stack. Without independent testing, the GA PRO should not be declared faster than a named competing SSD or assumed to sustain its maximum indefinitely.
Quick Recap
Who should consider the GA PRO?
- Gen5 desktop builders: You have a PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot, suitable BIOS support and cooling, and want a high-end sequential-transfer specification.
- Large-capacity users: The current lineup extends to 4TB and 8TB, with TBW ratings that scale with capacity.
- PCIe 4.0 or older systems: Buy only after confirming backward compatibility and expected slot speed; a Gen5 drive cannot create Gen5 bandwidth in an older slot.
- Laptops and compact systems: Verify single-sided or double-sided clearance, thermal limits and whether the manufacturer permits storage upgrades.
