Taoglas announced AntJack on October 7, 2024: an embedded Wi-Fi antenna, model FXM100.07.0060C, carried on a small mount that attaches to an RJ45 jack. It is a design option for equipment makers seeking to move an antenna off a crowded circuit board—not an add-on for a consumer router. Its standard configuration covers 2.4, 5.8, and 7.1 GHz bands and connects through a 60 mm coax cable.
What is Taoglas AntJack?
AntJack is Taoglas’s name for the FXM100 flexible PCB omnidirectional dipole antenna mounted on a lightweight plastic carrier for RJ45 installation. Taoglas says the carrier can attach to its TMJG4926HENL magnetic connector or a standard 1×1 RJ45 jack. The RJ45 jack itself is not included with the antenna, according to the FXM100 datasheet.
The standard FXM100.07.0060C assembly has 60 mm of 1.37 mm micro-coax cable terminated with an I-PEX MHF I connector. Taoglas says cable and connector customization is available, so the standard lead is not necessarily the only configuration for a design.
Why mount an antenna on an RJ45 jack?
Mounting the antenna on the Ethernet jack is intended to move it off the PCB, potentially freeing board area and giving designers more options for antenna placement in a constrained enclosure. Taoglas says the jack serves as the antenna ground plane. The company positions the design for challenges such as nearby metal and dense 4×4 or 8×8 MIMO layouts.

- 700-2700 MHz; sealed element; SMA-M
Those performance benefits are manufacturer claims, not independent comparative results. Taoglas’s product materials do not provide a like-for-like test against an antenna installed elsewhere in the same device. Actual wireless performance will depend on the antenna’s position, enclosure, ground arrangement, cable path, and surrounding components.
FXM100 specifications
The following are manufacturer-listed specifications for the FXM100, not independent measurements. Taoglas describes the coverage as 2400–7125 MHz and associates it with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, including Wi-Fi 6/6E and Wi-Fi 7.

Integration considerations
Check the mechanical fit
Confirm that the carrier fits the selected RJ45 jack and that the antenna can occupy the intended position inside the enclosure. The FXM100 is a compact component, but its dimensions and placement still need to work with nearby parts, metal, and any other antennas in the design.

Plan the cable route
The datasheet recommends keeping the standard cable straight for optimized integration. Bending it or routing it inside the device may affect performance, so the cable path should be evaluated as part of the mechanical design rather than treated as an interchangeable connection detail.
Validate performance in the finished device
Taoglas describes the antenna as omnidirectional, but that label does not guarantee uniform coverage once installed. For a design decision or a comparison with another embedded antenna, assess performance in the intended enclosure and configuration. Useful like-for-like factors include operating bands, measured efficiency and gain, ground-plane requirements, distance from metal, cable routing, connector options, occupied space, and total cost and availability.
Where Taoglas says the antenna may be used
Taoglas lists modems and routers, industrial gateways, factory automation, industrial process control, industrial robotics, and test-and-measurement systems as potential applications. These are examples of intended integration settings; the antenna is a component for equipment design, not a consumer networking accessory that simply plugs into an Ethernet port.

In its October 7, 2024 AntJack announcement, Taoglas said the FXM100 could be purchased from the company and its distributors. That launch statement does not establish current stock, price, lead time, or availability in a particular country. Check Taoglas or a local distributor for current purchasing details. The announcement also named Taoglas magnetic connectors and high-end Ethernet cables as possible companion items.
