Who qualifies
T-Mobile’s current terms limit the promotion to postpaid customers in good standing with an active voice line on an eligible rate plan. Some business accounts qualify when the line was activated with a Social Security number rather than a Tax ID. Eligibility is validated during redemption, so a plan name alone is not a guarantee.

How to claim the membership
- Open the official portal: https://promotions.t-mobile.com/AAA.
- Enter the mobile number associated with your eligible T-Mobile account.
- Sign in with your T-Mobile ID when prompted.
- Review and accept the promotion terms, then submit the requested information.
- Use the on-screen link to continue to AAA.
- Select “I’m not a AAA member” for a new membership or “I’m already a AAA member” to apply the benefit to an existing account.
- Complete AAA’s enrollment or validation process and save the confirmation email, membership number and renewal date.
New members should expect to provide a valid payment card because automatic renewal is enabled. That card is used for the post-promotion renewal, not to charge the covered first year.

If you already have AAA
Use AAA’s existing-member path rather than creating a duplicate account. Have your AAA member number or the identifying information AAA requests available. T-Mobile says the offer can apply to the next eligible Basic or Classic renewal if you remain a T-Mobile customer in good standing through that renewal date.
Members of Plus or Premier should expect a credit for the Basic or Classic portion only. The remaining higher-tier balance is theirs to pay.
What Basic and Classic membership covers
AAA benefits vary by local club, vehicle type and membership tier. T-Mobile highlights towing, tire service, fuel delivery, vehicle locksmith service, mobile battery service, TripTiks and travel planning, and discounts.
Membership generally follows the member when they are in an eligible vehicle, subject to AAA rules; it is not insurance and does not make every repair free. Fuel delivery may be included while the fuel itself is not, and service-call, vehicle and locksmith limits apply.

The renewal catch
The first year is covered by T-Mobile. After that, AAA renews automatically unless you cancel. T-Mobile’s current offer page says renewal may be up to $96 annually, while local AAA clubs set and can change their rates.
- Check the exact renewal amount and date in your AAA confirmation or account.
- Cancel through AAA before the renewal date if you do not want another year.
- Do not assume deleting a T-Mobile line cancels AAA or removes the saved payment method.
- If you leave T-Mobile, do not assume the benefit continues; T-Mobile requires existing members to remain in good standing through the registered next renewal date for T-Mobile to pay that renewal.
Limits, exclusions and promotion conflicts
- Maximum one redemption per T-Mobile account.
- Maximum one redemption per AAA member household.
- Multiple lines do not create a separate free membership for each line.
- The benefit is limited-time and subject to change or cancellation.
- T-Mobile says it can combine with most service and device promotions, but not with the AAA member port-in credit offer.
- Taxes, local AAA rules and promotion-specific restrictions may apply.
Is it worth pursuing?
It is most valuable if you already pay for AAA, drive frequently, travel long distances or want member-based roadside help. It is less compelling if your insurer, vehicle maker or credit card already provides comparable assistance, or if you need Plus or Premier limits and do not want to pay the difference.
Do not move to a more expensive T-Mobile plan solely for this perk without comparing the complete annual wireless cost. A practical calculation is:

Troubleshooting common problems
The portal rejects your number
- Sign in with the primary T-Mobile ID and verify the number and plan on the account.
- Confirm the line is postpaid, in good standing and an active voice line.
- Try opening the portal from T-Mobile’s AAA benefits page.
- If the plan changed recently, allow for eligibility-system delays and contact T-Mobile support.
- Do not buy a full-price AAA membership expecting reimbursement unless T-Mobile or AAA explicitly confirms that process.
AAA requests a card
This is expected for new enrollment because the membership is set to renew automatically. Review the renewal date and displayed local-club price before submitting.
You see a different renewal price
AAA pricing is club-specific and can change. Use the amount shown in your AAA account or enrollment flow rather than an old screenshot or cached page. T-Mobile’s current page says up to $96 per year; older material may show a different ceiling.
