The offer was a historical announcement, not confirmation that themes remain free or that the same menus exist in the current app.
What SwiftKey’s 2016 free-theme announcement included
BetaNews reported that SwiftKey had made all its themes available for free. The article described a selection of more than 100 themes and mentioned new “Vivid” themes following a redesign of the SwiftKey Hub. The announcement covered both Android and iOS.
That report is the basis for calling it a Christmas gift: it appeared in December and made previously paid-for themes free, according to the 2016 coverage. It does not establish a current theme count, price, or offer.
How the theme menus worked in the 2016 report

| iOS | Open the SwiftKey app, tap Design, then All, and browse the themes. | More than 100 themes were reported across the offering; the article does not give a separate iOS count. |
These are the paths described by BetaNews in 2016, not verified instructions for the current app. Menu names and availability may have changed since then.

Does SwiftKey have Christmas themes?
The 2016 report describes more than 100 themes and new Vivid designs, but it does not identify any as Christmas-themed. It therefore supports a broad selection of keyboard designs, not a claim that a holiday theme was included.
