Sublime Security announced a $60 million Series B on December 12, 2024, led by IVP. Citi Ventures, Index Ventures, Decibel Partners, and Slow Ventures also participated. The round was a 2024 financing milestone, not the company’s latest funding: Sublime announced a $150 million Series C in October 2025.

What is Sublime Security?

Sublime Security sells email-security software for organizations using Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Its platform is designed to detect and investigate email threats, including phishing, malware, and targeted business email compromise. SecurityWeek described the product in 2024 as combining AI-assisted detection with a rules engine; these are product descriptions, not independent findings about detection accuracy.

A central part of the company’s approach is Message Query Language (MQL), an open rules language for writing, running, customizing, and sharing email detections and responses. Sublime says its approach pairs machine-learning models with transparent, configurable rules, giving security teams a way to adapt detection logic to their needs.

What can teams do with the platform?

SecurityWeek’s 2024 coverage described workflows for threat hunting and triaging user-reported messages, as well as configurable responses such as quarantining a message or adding a warning banner. In practice, these capabilities are intended to help security teams move from detecting suspicious email to investigating it and applying a response.

For an organization evaluating email-security tools, useful points of comparison include supported email environments, deployment model, how visible and customizable detection logic is, and which investigation and response workflows are available. How much had Sublime raised, and who backed the rounds?

SecurityWeek reported that the Series B brought Sublime’s total funding to $93.8 million as of December 2024. Subsequent company announcements mean that figure should not be treated as the company’s current total raised.

Date Round or announcement Lead investor Other named participants
February 22, 2023 $9.8 million launch funding Decibel Partners and Slow Ventures Not stated in the company announcement
April 24, 2024 $20 million Series A Index Ventures Not stated in the company announcement

October 28, 2025 $150 million Series C Georgian Avenir, 01A, Jon Oberheide, Nicole Perlroth, Index Ventures, IVP, Citi Ventures, and Slow Ventures

The amounts and investor lists are from Sublime’s announcements, except the $93.8 million total after the Series B, which SecurityWeek reported. Funding amounts describe financing, not operating results or product performance.

What changed after the Series B?

In October 2025, Sublime announced a $150 million Series C led by Georgian. That later round supersedes the Series B as the company’s latest financing event in the available chronology.

On April 28, 2026, the company announced it was moving to 100% channel sales and described value-added resellers as services-led partners. This indicates a change in distribution strategy; the announcement does not establish the availability or terms of an affiliate or referral program.

What were Sublime’s deployment and pricing options?

In its 2023 launch post, Sublime described a free, self-hosted Core product alongside paid SaaS and Enterprise offerings. SecurityWeek reported in December 2024 that the first 100 inboxes were free in the SaaS environment at that time. These are historical descriptions; the sources do not establish current prices or plan terms.

Which organizations used Sublime at the time?

SecurityWeek reported in December 2024 that enterprise customers included Elastic, Benteler, and Cribl, alongside existing users Spotify, Reddit, and Brex. These examples were reported as company-stated customer information, not independently audited adoption figures. Sublime’s Series B announcement also included a testimonial from Benteler security operations lead Jonas Eichinger, which is a customer statement published by the company rather than an independent evaluation.
