Its official pricing page lists plans from $199 to $399 per seat per month, so the key buying question is whether your team will use enough of that workflow depth to justify the per-seat cost.
What is Sprout Social?
Sprout Social is a subscription platform for managing social profiles and the work around them: publishing content, responding to messages, monitoring activity, and reporting on results. Its official pricing page also presents review management, listening, and customer-care capabilities.
TechRadar’s review describes a content calendar, post drafting and scheduling, queues, a consolidated social inbox, review management, profile and keyword monitoring, reporting, and iOS and Android apps. It also describes features such as custom workflows and integrations, but those details are a secondary review’s account; check Sprout’s current plan page for exact entitlements. (TechRadar review)
Sprout Social pricing and plan differences
On October 4, 2026, Sprout’s official pricing page listed the following prices per seat per month. These are vendor-listed figures, not a guarantee for every billing cadence, geography, tax treatment, or negotiated agreement. Confirm the terms that apply to your organization.
#1 Best Overall
| Plan | Listed price | Profile allowance | Notable listed capabilities |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $199 per seat/month (Sprout Social, observed October 4, 2026) | Five social profiles | Consolidated inbox and collaboration tools, keyword and location monitoring, Trellis AI agent, and review management. |
| Professional | $299 per seat/month (Sprout Social, observed October 4, 2026) | Unlimited social profiles | Includes Standard, plus message tagging, competitor, tag, and paid insights, and Enhance Post by AI Assist. |
| Advanced | $399 per seat/month (Sprout Social, observed October 4, 2026) | Unlimited social profiles through Professional features | Includes Professional, plus Enhance Reply by AI Assist, sentiment in Smart Inbox and Reviews, Sprout API and Helpdesk integrations, team productivity and social customer-care reports, and Message Spike Alerts. |
Sprout positions Standard as “Perfect for small teams managing a few profiles across social networks.” The tier descriptions and included features can change; verify the current page before purchase. (Sprout Social pricing)
How seat count changes the bill
Because the listed prices are per seat, a team’s base subscription cost scales with the number of paid seats. For example, three seats at the listed Standard rate would total $597 per month before taxes, add-ons, or any other billing terms. This is arithmetic based on Sprout’s listed per-seat price, not a quote. Confirm which team members need seats and how Sprout defines a billable user.

Add-ons and separate offerings
Sprout lists Premium Analytics and Listening as individual add-ons for Standard and higher plans. Employee Advocacy is also presented as an add-on, and Professional Services has multiple package levels. Influencer Marketing is shown separately and does not require a Sprout plan. The reviewed pricing material does not state prices for these offerings, so request a complete quote rather than assuming they are included or estimating their cost. (Sprout Social pricing)
What Sprout Social does well
Connects publishing and engagement work
A shared calendar, drafting and scheduling tools, and a consolidated inbox can help teams coordinate posts and responses without treating publishing and engagement as entirely separate tasks. Whether that consolidation is valuable depends on how many profiles and conversations your team handles and how its work is divided.

Review management, monitoring, reporting, and customer-care workflows broaden Sprout’s role beyond a scheduler. Advanced adds specific capabilities for team productivity and social customer-care reporting, while Professional adds unlimited profiles and several insights features. A team that uses these tools regularly may get more from the platform than a team seeking only a simple publishing calendar.
Includes mobile apps and reported support availability
TechRadar describes Sprout apps for iOS and Android. Sprout’s 2025 annual filing reports phone and chat support available 24/5, across channels and multiple languages; that is company-reported service information, not an independent assessment of support quality. (Sprout Social 2025 annual filing)

Where Sprout Social may not be a good fit
The per-seat price can be difficult for smaller teams
TechRadar identifies added costs as a concern and describes Professional as a sizeable investment for smaller businesses. Review-site search-result summaries from Capterra also surfaced mixed signals: praise for reporting and analytics alongside concerns about cost or value. Those summaries do not establish a representative rating or a basis for quoting individual reviewers. (TechRadar review; Capterra listing)
Advanced features only matter if the team uses them
Higher tiers add specific reporting, integrations, tagging, and AI-assist features. If the team will not use those capabilities, paying for them may not solve a real workflow problem. Conversely, choosing Standard solely for its lower listed price could be limiting if the five-profile allowance or required workflows do not fit.

Verify integration specifics
Sprout lists API and Helpdesk integrations on Advanced, while TechRadar broadly mentions CRM and social-commerce integrations. The available information does not establish a current full integration matrix or the plan eligibility of named third-party services. Confirm the exact integration, required tier, and any setup or usage conditions with Sprout before relying on it. (Sprout Social pricing; TechRadar review)
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose the right plan
- Count paid seats. Multiply the applicable per-seat price by the number of users who need access, then confirm billing cadence and terms with Sprout.
- Map the team’s profiles. Standard lists five social profiles; Professional and Advanced list unlimited profiles. Check how your account structure maps to Sprout’s definition of a profile.
- Identify daily workflows. Decide whether consolidated engagement, review management, message tagging, approvals, or customer-care reporting are requirements rather than occasional conveniences.
- Separate included analytics from add-ons. Ask which reporting is included in the proposed plan and whether Premium Analytics or Listening is needed; clarify data coverage and usage limits.
- Validate integrations and support needs. Confirm each named service, its plan eligibility, and whether your team’s support requirements match the service Sprout reports.
- Compare against the simpler alternative you would actually buy. If the main need is scheduling, compare Sprout with a scheduling-focused product on the workflows you need, not on feature count alone. No current competitor price or feature matrix is established here.
What the published ROI study does—and does not—show
A 2025 commissioned Forrester Consulting Total Economic Impact study modeled a composite enterprise organization buying Sprout Enterprise with Premium Analytics, Premier Success, Influencer Marketing, Employee Advocacy, and Social Listening. Its modeled first-year subscription costs were $170,000. Forrester says costs vary by selected plan and features, so this is neither a typical customer bill nor a quote for the self-serve plans above. Because the study was commissioned and based on interviews and modeled assumptions, it should not be treated as independent proof that Sprout will deliver a particular return for your organization. What to check during Sprout Social’s free trial
Sprout advertises a 30-day free trial without requiring a credit card. Trial access can be a practical way to verify fit, but confirm which plan and capabilities the trial exposes before evaluating features that may be tier-specific. (Sprout Social pricing)
Quick Recap
- Connect the profiles your team would actually manage and confirm they fit the plan’s profile allowance.
- Run a real publishing cycle: draft, review, schedule, and check how the calendar and collaboration tools fit current approvals.
- Route representative messages and reviews through the inbox; check assignment, tagging, and any escalation steps the team needs.
- Build the reports managers rely on and determine whether included analytics answer their questions or require Premium Analytics.
- Test a named integration with the exact plan you are considering rather than relying on a broad integration claim.
- Ask for a written quote that separates seats, add-ons, services, and any other charges, then compare the total with the workflow value your team expects.
