Charlotte and dozens of other allies are in S tier in Pocket Gamer’s Soul Strike tier list, updated September 3, 2026 for version 3.2.6. Treat it as an unofficial shortlist, not a universal verdict: the guide reflects its author’s experience and community information, and it does not rank characters separately for each game mode.
How to read the Soul Strike tier list
Pocket Gamer’s list groups characters by broad performance. It says S-tier characters can carry players through every stage, including later stages. A-tier allies can help through much of the game but depend more on how they fit the rest of the team. B tier means a character is a weaker relative option—not that the character is completely unusable.
The guide does not publish a reproducible scoring rubric, character-by-character test protocol, matchup table, or win rates. Use placement to narrow your choices, then factor in your progression stage, team synergy, and the content you are playing. The list is not an objective ranking, and its author cautions that no tier list is absolute.

It says Felino reduces enemy defense with curses and applies bleed. These are ability descriptions offered by the guide, not results from a published comparative test.

Choosing an ally for your team and game mode
Use tier placement as a shortlist
Start with the higher-ranked options you actually have, then assess whether an ally works with the rest of your team and the stage you are trying to clear. The list’s own description distinguishes S-tier performance in later stages from A-tier reliance on synergy; it does not provide a full comparative test of every character.
Do not treat the list as a PvP ranking
Soul Strike has a companion arena PvP feature with six competitive league tiers, according to Com2uS Holdings’ 1.5-year update announcement. Pocket Gamer’s character list is general rather than mode-specific, so it does not establish which allies are best for arena versus progression. The official announcement confirms the mode context, not current character balance.

Check the exact in-game form
Some names appear in more than one tier in the guide, including Howard, Chocolat, Zeros, and Eve; other repeated names include Ran, Jiwoo Seo, Zion, and Rebecca. The page also uses spellings such as “Roy Mustand” and “Versper,” while “Vesper” appears in A tier. Because the guide’s labels and forms are not fully clarified in the available listing, check the in-game character or variant before applying a tier recommendation to a specific ally.
