NanoReview lists scores of 2,314,417 versus 1,010,069 in AnTuTu 11 and 2,072 versus 1,298 in Geekbench 6 single-core. These are database comparison results, not a controlled test of otherwise identical phones; a phone’s cooling, power limits, software, memory and test conditions affect real-world performance.
Benchmark comparison: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 vs Snapdragon 870
NanoReview’s comparison favors the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in both listed tests:
| Benchmark | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 870 |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 total | 2,314,417 | 1,010,069 |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 2,072 | 1,298 |
NanoReview’s comparison includes sample counts, and its score pool can change as users submit results. Treat the figures as publisher-database aggregates, not lab results from a matched-phone test. Scores can vary with device, benchmark version and thermal state.
What the chip specifications tell you
Qualcomm’s product pages describe the platforms’ components and connectivity, but do not provide a complete matched specification table for both chips. The available details are useful for understanding platform features, not for predicting exactly how two finished phones will perform.

| Specification area | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 870 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU and graphics | Qualcomm lists a Kryo CPU and Adreno GPU, with CPU clock speed up to 3.2 GHz. | Qualcomm lists a Kryo 585 CPU and Adreno 650 GPU. |

| Process information | Qualcomm identifies 4 nm. POCO specifies TSMC 4 nm for its F7 phone. | A directly comparable process figure is not stated on the Qualcomm page reviewed. |
These are vendor platform descriptions. Peak clock speed and component names do not establish sustained performance, and network capabilities depend on the phone’s implementation, region and carrier. Qualcomm’s stated CPU and GPU improvement percentages for the 8s Gen 4 use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 as their baseline—not the Snapdragon 870. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 page and Snapdragon 870 page describe the respective platforms.
Why a phone may not match the benchmark ranking
A chip-level score is a useful starting point, but it does not show how a particular phone handles a long gaming session or demanding workload. Phone design and settings—including cooling, power limits, software and memory—can affect both peak and sustained results. The cited comparison does not establish matched-phone thermal, gaming or battery-life results.

For a concrete example, POCO’s F7 specifications identify the phone as using Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and list a CPU speed up to 3.21 GHz. That device-specific listing does not mean every 8s Gen 4 phone will deliver the same benchmark scores or sustained performance.
