Comparison pages generally report higher AnTuTu totals for Snapdragon, while Geekbench CPU and 3DMark graphics results vary by source. The chips also differ in CPU and GPU design, so the useful answer depends on the workload—and benchmark scores alone do not establish which phone will run longer or stay faster under sustained load.
Specifications: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 vs Exynos 2400
These are manufacturer-listed specifications and features, not results from a controlled head-to-head phone test.
| Specification | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Exynos 2400 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU design | Qualcomm Kryo CPU; 8-core platform, with peak speed up to 3.2 GHz, according to Qualcomm. Detailed core-cluster frequencies are not stated on the cited product page. | 10-core tri-cluster CPU: one Cortex-X4 at 3.2 GHz, five Cortex-A720 at 2.9 GHz, and four Cortex-A520 at 1.95 GHz, according to Samsung Semiconductor. |
| GPU | Adreno GPU; Qualcomm lists hardware-accelerated ray tracing with global illumination and Game Super Resolution 2.0. | Xclipse 940 GPU based on AMD RDNA 3; Samsung lists hardware ray tracing. |
| Memory and storage | Not stated on the cited Qualcomm product page. | LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, according to Samsung. |
| Connectivity | Qualcomm lists Snapdragon 5G modem-RF capabilities, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0 support. | Samsung lists an Exynos modem; the cited product page does not state Wi-Fi or Bluetooth versions. |
| Other listed capabilities | Hexagon AI features and an 18-bit Spectra ISP. | Support for 4K/WQUXGA displays up to 120 Hz; Samsung describes a third-generation 4 nm low-power process and FOWLP packaging. |
What the vendors’ performance claims mean
Qualcomm says the Kryo CPU delivers 31% improved performance and the Adreno GPU up to 49% improved performance. Both figures compare Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with its predecessor, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3—not with Exynos 2400. Qualcomm also lists features such as its Adaptive Performance Engine, but that does not establish a comparative sustained-performance advantage over Samsung’s chip. See Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 product page.
Samsung reports a 14.7-fold AI performance improvement for Exynos 2400 compared with Exynos 2200. That is Samsung’s own predecessor comparison, not a result against Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Samsung’s product page also describes the chip as minimizing power consumption while boosting performance; this is vendor positioning, not an independent battery-life comparison.

Benchmark comparison: results depend on the test
The following are scores reported on separate comparison pages, accessed in 2026. They are not measurements from one matched-phone test, and figures from different sites should not be combined into a single result.
| Source and test | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | Exynos 2400 | What this comparison shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| InnoReviews: AnTuTu 11 | 2,324,829 | 1,914,857 | Higher reported total for Snapdragon. |
| InnoReviews: Geekbench 6 single-core | 2,050 | 2,150+ | Higher reported entry for Exynos. |
| InnoReviews: Geekbench 6 multi-core | 6,850+ | 6,600 | Higher reported entry for Snapdragon. |

| CPUScores: Geekbench 6 multi-core | 6,511 | 6,785 | Higher reported entry for Exynos. |
| GadgetVersus: AnTuTu | 2,108,141 | 1,635,221 | Higher reported total for Snapdragon; the listed comparison does not specify an AnTuTu version. |
| GadgetVersus: Geekbench 6 single-core | 2,103 | 2,013 | Higher reported entry for Snapdragon. |
| GadgetVersus: Geekbench 6 multi-core | 6,633 | 6,630 | Effectively tied reported entries, with Snapdragon marginally higher on this page. |
How to read the score pattern
- Overall AnTuTu: All three cited comparison pages report a higher total for Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The values differ substantially across pages, however, so they are evidence of a trend in those listings—not a guaranteed score or a precise universal performance gap.
- CPU: Geekbench single-core and multi-core results do not agree on one winner across sources. Treat each score as a result reported by that page rather than a definitive chip-wide ranking.
- Graphics: The InnoReviews 3DMark Wild Life Extreme listing favors Exynos by its reported scores. That result does not establish how every game or graphics workload will perform.
Scores can vary with the phone used, cooling, firmware, test run, benchmark version, and a site’s aggregation method. For example, 91mobiles describes its Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 AnTuTu figure as the highest recorded by a device running that chipset; a highest recorded device result is not an average or a score every phone should achieve. Geekbench’s live mobile results include a Galaxy S24+ with Exynos 2400 and a 6,040 multi-core result. That is an entry for one device, not an enduring chip-level score.
Battery life and sustained performance: no proven chip winner
The cited sources do not provide a controlled, matched-phone comparison that establishes which chip lasts longer on a charge, runs cooler, or sustains higher performance during extended gaming or other heavy workloads. Benchmark snapshots cannot answer those questions on their own: a phone’s cooling system, battery capacity, power management, firmware, and workload all affect the result.
Rank #2
- Tablets with Cortex X4 handle demanding apps and multitasking with up to 3.8 GHz clock speed
- 8 GB memory ensures smooth multitasking without crashes or slowdowns, keeping your tablet responsive and efficient
- 13 inch screen with In-plane Switching (IPS) Technology resolution offers stunning clarity for movies and shows while staying portable
- Tablet offers lightweight portability and intuitive touch interface, perfect for browsing, streaming, reading & everyday mobile tasks
- Android 16 OS empowers you to stay productive and creative with a stable, user-friendly interface
For a meaningful comparison, look for tests using the same workload and duration on the specific phone models you are considering. Without that evidence, neither the vendor’s efficiency language nor a short benchmark score is enough to declare a battery-life or thermal winner.
Which phones use these chips?
Samsung identifies the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ as Exynos 2400 devices. 91mobiles lists the POCO F7 among phones using Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. These are examples, not a matched comparison: the phones differ in design and implementation, and availability can vary by region and model variant. Check the exact specification for the phone being sold where you live.
Quick Recap
Which chip should you choose?
- If you are comparing headline benchmark tables: The cited AnTuTu comparison pages all list a higher Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 total, but those scores vary by source and do not predict every workload.
- If CPU performance matters most: Compare the relevant Geekbench single-core or multi-core results separately; the listed results vary enough that there is no consistent winner across the cited pages.
- If graphics or gaming matters most: The InnoReviews 3DMark listing favors Exynos 2400, but a single synthetic graphics test cannot settle real-game performance or sustained frame rates.
- If you are buying a phone, not a chip: Compare the exact regional model’s price, display, cameras, software support, battery, cooling, and update commitments. Chip specifications alone do not determine the overall phone experience.
