The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 has a small lead in NanoReview’s AnTuTu 11 aggregate and a higher Geekbench 6 single-core score, while the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 leads the listed Geekbench 6 multi-core result and AnTuTu GPU and memory subscores. Those results do not establish one universal winner: the AnTuTu 6 Gen 5 sample is only two tests, and the chips have not been shown here in a controlled, matched-phone comparison.

How the benchmark results compare
AnTuTu 11: a narrow aggregate lead for 7s Gen 4
NanoReview displays an AnTuTu 11 aggregate of 1,041,898 for the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and 1,012,134 for the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, about a 3% advantage for the 7s Gen 4 in those results. But the displayed sample counts are 35 and two, respectively, so the 6 Gen 5 figure is a very small basis for comparison.
| AnTuTu 11 score | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 | Higher listed result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total | 1,041,898 | 1,012,134 | 7s Gen 4 |

Geekbench 6: different leaders for single-core and multi-core
The listed single-core score favors the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, 1,223 to 1,099. The listed multi-core score favors the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, 3,481 to 3,168. NanoReview shows 15 tests for the 7s Gen 4 Geekbench results but does not display a sample count for the 6 Gen 5 entry. Treat this as a directional snapshot, not a controlled head-to-head result.
What the specifications mean in practice
CPU and everyday responsiveness
The third-party-listed CPU layouts differ in both core design and clock speeds. The Geekbench results suggest the 7s Gen 4 leads in single-core work, while the 6 Gen 5 leads in the displayed multi-core result. Neither score alone predicts how responsive a retail phone will feel: handset software, memory, cooling, power limits, and other design choices also matter.

Graphics and gaming
NanoReview lists Adreno 810 for the 7s Gen 4 and Adreno 812 for the 6 Gen 5, and its AnTuTu GPU subscore is higher for the 6 Gen 5. Qualcomm separately says the 6 Gen 5 offers up to 21% better GPU performance, but that claim uses Qualcomm’s cited baseline, not a direct comparison with the 7s Gen 4. Neither item establishes which chip will sustain higher frame rates in a particular game or phone.
Qualcomm lists selected Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, Adaptive Performance Engine 3.0, and Game Super Resolution for the 7s Gen 4. Qualcomm describes gaming capabilities for the 6 Gen 5 as well. Platform features depend on a handset maker’s implementation, so check reviews of the exact phone and game for sustained performance.

Wireless connectivity
Qualcomm specifies Wi-Fi 6E, dual-SIM dual-active 5G+5G or 5G+4G, and peak 5G download speeds up to 2.9 Gbps for the 7s Gen 4. Qualcomm highlights Wi-Fi 7 for the 6 Gen 5 announcement. The available announcement does not give a directly comparable modem specification for the 6 Gen 5. A platform capability is not a guarantee that every phone supports it; verify the handset’s wireless features and compatibility with your router and carrier.
AI, camera, and other platform features
Qualcomm describes on-device generative AI support and camera processing features for the 7s Gen 4. For the 6 Gen 5, Qualcomm highlights AI camera features, gaming, app responsiveness, and battery efficiency. These are platform-level capabilities and vendor positioning, not proof that two phones will offer identical camera modes or AI functions. Manufacturers choose which features to implement.

Qualcomm’s performance claims are not a direct chip-versus-chip test
In its May 7, 2026 announcement, Qualcomm claims the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 delivers up to 21% better GPU performance, 20% faster app launches, and 18% less screen stutter against the company’s stated baseline. Those figures are Qualcomm claims and should not be read as measured advantages over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. Qualcomm also describes the 7s Gen 4 as offering 7% CPU performance and 7% GPU rendering improvements over its own predecessor generation, not over the 6 Gen 5.
Benchmark aggregates can vary with phone design, software, cooling, temperature, and power limits. The listed results do not come from a disclosed test using the same phone design and conditions for both processors, so they cannot settle questions about sustained gaming, battery life, or real-world speed.

Which chipset should you choose?
- Favor the 7s Gen 4 on the evidence shown if you care about its higher listed Geekbench single-core and AnTuTu total and CPU results, or need a platform with Qualcomm-specified Wi-Fi 6E and dual-SIM dual-active support.
- Consider the 6 Gen 5 if the phone you are evaluating offers a better overall package, or if its Wi-Fi 7 support and the listed multi-core and GPU results fit your priorities. The latter benchmark evidence is limited and is not a guarantee of gaming performance.
- Compare the phones, not just the chips before buying. Look at price, memory and storage configuration, display, camera, software support, cooling, battery tests, and local network support; this comparison does not establish matched retail models or street prices.
Availability of Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 phones
Qualcomm’s May 7, 2026 announcement said devices were expected in the second half of 2026 from global OEMs including Honor, OPPO, realme, and REDMI, and specifically mentioned upcoming Honor and REDMI devices. That is an expectation stated at announcement, not confirmation of a particular retail phone or availability in a given country. Check the phone maker’s current product listing for local models and specifications.
