Available benchmark evidence favors the Dimensity 8350 family overall, but it does not establish a controlled Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 versus Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition result. NanoReview compares the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 with the standard Dimensity 8350; 91mobiles reports Extreme Edition figures against the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3—not the 7s Gen 3. That distinction matters when deciding which processor is faster for gaming or everyday use.
What the benchmark evidence says
The closest available comparison is NanoReview’s page-level aggregate for the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and standard Dimensity 8350. It reports higher aggregate CPU and gaming ratings for the Dimensity entry. Its displayed AnTuTu 11 results are 1,041,899 for the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and 1,724,757 for the standard Dimensity 8350. NanoReview lists 140 and 198 samples, respectively. These are aggregates across reported samples, not guaranteed scores for every phone, and the MediaTek chip is not identified as the Extreme Edition. See NanoReview’s comparison.
Those results support a cautious conclusion that the standard Dimensity 8350 has the stronger showing in that comparison. They do not prove that the Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition beats the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 by the same margin, or establish a universal ranking across phones.
Why the Extreme Edition figures do not complete the matchup
91mobiles gives results for the Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition, but its comparison opponent is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The page reports AnTuTu totals of 1,440,382 for the Dimensity and 1,077,869 for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Its Geekbench single-core and multicore scores are 1,478 and 4,759 for the Dimensity, versus 1,172 and 3,235 for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. These figures cannot be relabeled as a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 comparison. See 91mobiles’ reported comparison.

Specifications: what is confirmed—and what is not
Qualcomm identifies the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 as a 4 nm platform with CPU speeds up to 2.5 GHz, Adreno graphics, Vulkan 1.3 support, and a Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System. Its platform page also describes on-device AI, camera features, and wireless connectivity. A peak clock is a specification, not a direct measure of how fast a phone feels under sustained use. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 specifications.
The exact-edition specification comparison remains unconfirmed: the available material does not establish an official MediaTek specification sheet showing how Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition differs from standard Dimensity 8350. MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 page lists a second-generation 4 nm process, four Cortex-A715 cores up to 3.35 GHz, four Cortex-A510 cores up to 2.2 GHz, Mali-G615 MC6 graphics, APU 780, LPDDR5X, and UFS 4.0. Those are Dimensity 8300 specifications; they should not be treated as confirmed 8350 Extreme Edition specifications. MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 specifications.

Qualcomm’s performance claims are about a different comparison
In an announcement dated August 20, 2024, Qualcomm said the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 delivers nearly 20% improved CPU performance, up to 40% accelerated GPU performance, over 30% better AI performance, and 12% overall power savings. Qualcomm makes these claims relative to the platform’s predecessor, not the Dimensity 8350 or its Extreme Edition. They are manufacturer claims, not results from a direct head-to-head test. What this means for gaming and everyday use
Gaming
The standard Dimensity 8350’s higher NanoReview gaming rating and AnTuTu 11 aggregate make it the stronger lead on the available comparative evidence. But graphics performance in a particular game also depends on the phone’s cooling, power limits, software, and game settings. The available figures do not establish sustained frame rates or heat behavior for a controlled test of the exact two chips.

Everyday responsiveness
The available scores do not settle which processor will feel faster in every phone. App launches, multitasking, and general responsiveness depend on the handset as well as its chip, including software and memory configuration. There is no controlled paired-phone test here that isolates the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 against the Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition.
Battery life, thermals, and cameras
Processor comparisons alone cannot determine a phone’s battery life or sustained performance: those outcomes depend on the complete device and its implementation. Camera results likewise reflect the phone’s camera hardware and software, not just the SoC’s advertised capabilities.

How to use this comparison when choosing a phone
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is one phone associated with the Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition in 91mobiles’ material. That makes it a concrete handset example, not proof of how the chip will perform in every device, nor an indication of current regional availability or price. Compare the complete phones you can actually buy: independent device-level performance and battery tests, cooling, software support, camera results, configuration, and price are more useful for a purchase than an unverified Extreme Edition spec transfer.
