The available evidence does not establish a fair benchmark winner between Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Dimensity 6400 Turbo. Qualcomm publishes Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 specifications, while MediaTek’s official announcement names Dimensity 6400 without the “Turbo” suffix. Third-party testing reports scores for a Turbo-branded device, but not a controlled comparison against a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 phone. Here is what the specifications and reported results can—and cannot—tell you.
At a glance: what the comparison establishes
| Area | Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 | Dimensity 6400 Turbo |
|---|---|---|
| Official naming in cited manufacturer material | Qualcomm names Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Qualcomm specifications | MediaTek’s announcement names Dimensity 6400, not Dimensity 6400 Turbo. The Turbo suffix appears in third-party listings. MediaTek announcement; 91mobiles listing |
| Manufacturing process | 4 nm, according to Qualcomm. Qualcomm specifications | TSMC 6 nm for the standard Dimensity 6400, according to MediaTek. The cited announcement does not separately establish a process for a Turbo model. MediaTek announcement |
| CPU information | Up to 2.2 GHz; the cited Qualcomm page does not give the core layout in the material used here. Qualcomm specifications | 91mobiles lists two Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.5 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz. This is third-party reporting, not confirmation of a distinct MediaTek Turbo model. 91mobiles listing |
| Graphics | Not specified in the cited product material summarized here. | 91mobiles lists Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. 91mobiles listing |
| Reported benchmark results | No directly comparable Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 results are established by the cited sources. | 91mobiles reports 611,679 AnTuTu and Geekbench 6 results of 812 single-core and 2,068 multi-core for a device using the Turbo-branded chip. These are device-test figures, not official MediaTek scores. 91mobiles results |
Which chip has the better benchmark performance?
The available figures do not support a reliable winner. 91mobiles reports an AnTuTu score of 611,679 for a Dimensity 6400 Turbo device and Geekbench 6 scores of 812 single-core and 2,068 multi-core. The site describes its AnTuTu figure as the highest it recorded for a device running that chip, so it should not be treated as a universal average.
The cited sources do not provide Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Dimensity 6400 Turbo results from the same phones, benchmark versions, software, cooling conditions, and test procedure. Comparing one reported score with an unmatched result would risk attributing differences to the chip when phone design or testing conditions may explain them. A separate 91mobiles comparison involving Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 is not a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 comparison; those are different chipsets.
Benchmark scores can also vary with handset cooling, memory configuration, software, and manufacturer tuning. For a meaningful purchase comparison, look for tests of the exact phone models using the same benchmark version and similar conditions.

Specifications and platform features
Snapdragon 6 Gen 1
Qualcomm lists Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 as a 4 nm platform with CPU speeds up to 2.2 GHz, an X62 5G modem-RF system, Wi-Fi 6E capability, and Quick Charge 4+. Its product brief specifies support for FHD+ displays at up to 120 Hz and LPDDR5 memory. These describe platform capabilities, not a guarantee that every phone using the chip includes each feature.
Check the handset’s own specifications to confirm its memory type, display resolution and refresh rate, charging implementation, and supported connectivity. A manufacturer may choose a different configuration from the platform’s maximum or available features. Qualcomm product brief

Dimensity 6400 and the “Turbo” label
MediaTek’s official announcement describes the standard Dimensity 6400 as a TSMC 6 nm chip. It also claims up to 19% less power while gaming than “competitive chipsets.” That is MediaTek’s manufacturer claim; the announcement does not establish that the comparison is specifically against Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 or provide an independent head-to-head result.
The cited official announcement does not establish a distinct Dimensity 6400 Turbo model. 91mobiles uses that name and lists the CPU and graphics configuration shown above, but that third-party listing should not be read as proof that MediaTek has confirmed a separate chip architecture. What to check when choosing a phone
Chip names are only one part of handset performance and value. Compare the actual models you can buy in your market, not just the processor labels.
- Performance evidence: Prefer comparable tests on the exact phones, with the same benchmark version and similar conditions.
- Cooling and sustained use: Phone design and thermal behavior affect how well a device maintains performance during longer gaming or demanding workloads.
- Memory and software: Compare each phone’s memory configuration, operating software, and update commitments; the chip name alone does not establish these details.
- Display and connectivity: Confirm the phone’s implemented features rather than assuming every platform capability is included.
- Local price and availability: Check current listings in your region. A cited device example does not establish present stock, price, or support terms elsewhere.
