That is not enough to declare every phone with the 4 Gen 2 faster or better. Qualcomm lists the 4 Gen 2 on a 4 nm process with an X61 5G modem, while the 6s Gen 3 is listed on 6 nm with an X51 modem. Actual phone performance depends on the handset’s hardware, software and cooling as well as its chipset.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 vs Snapdragon 6s Gen 3: specifications
Qualcomm’s platform specifications show differences in process, modem and supported memory and storage. These are platform capabilities; a phone maker may not implement every optional feature. See Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 specifications and Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 specifications.
| Specification | Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 | Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Process | 4 nm (Qualcomm) | 6 nm (Qualcomm) |
| CPU peak frequency | Up to 2.3 GHz; a 2.2 GHz version also exists. The phone’s specification determines its actual maximum. | Up to 2.3 GHz (Qualcomm) |
| CPU configuration | 2 performance cores up to 2.3 GHz and 6 efficiency cores up to 2.0 GHz, according to Qualcomm’s Product Brief | Qualcomm confirms a peak up to 2.3 GHz; 91mobiles lists 2 Cortex-A78 and 6 Cortex-A55 cores |
| 5G modem | Snapdragon X61 | Snapdragon X51 |
| GPU family | Adreno | Adreno |
| Memory support | LPDDR5 and LPDDR4x | LPDDR4x up to 2133 MHz |
| Storage support | UFS 3.1, 2-Lane | UFS 2.2 |
| Other listed support | FHD+ display up to 120 Hz; Quick Charge 4+ | Quick Charge 4+; 5G mmWave and sub-6 |
The CPU, memory and storage details above come from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Product Brief and Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Product Brief, with the 6s Gen 3 core types attributed to 91mobiles. Qualcomm lists more than one CPU-speed version of the 4 Gen 2, so check the exact handset rather than assuming every model reaches 2.3 GHz.
Which processor is faster in benchmarks?
91mobiles’ comparison reports a narrow overall lead for the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. Its AnTuTu total is 6,447 points higher, while its Geekbench results are also slightly ahead. These are third-party published figures, not Qualcomm measurements or results from testing in this article. The visible comparison does not provide enough detail about test devices and run conditions to treat the numbers as a universal chipset ranking. 91mobiles’ comparison page was accessed October 4, 2026.

| Benchmark (91mobiles) | Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 | Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 | Reported lead |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total | 478,134 | 471,687 | 4 Gen 2 |
| AnTuTu CPU | 158,203 | 150,469 | 4 Gen 2 |
| AnTuTu GPU | 51,394 | 90,187 | 6s Gen 3 |
| AnTuTu memory | 150,246 | 103,962 | 4 Gen 2 |
| AnTuTu UX | 118,291 | 127,069 | 6s Gen 3 |
| Geekbench single-core | 952 | 936 | 4 Gen 2 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,261 | 2,213 | 4 Gen 2 |
91mobiles describes AnTuTu as combining CPU, GPU, memory and user-experience scenarios, while Geekbench is a CPU test. The 6s Gen 3 has the higher reported AnTuTu GPU and UX subscores despite the 4 Gen 2’s higher total. The results therefore do not show one chip winning every workload, and they should not be read as guaranteed scores for a particular phone.
What the specifications mean in real use
The process node is not a performance verdict
Qualcomm lists the 4 Gen 2 at 4 nm and the 6s Gen 3 at 6 nm. That specification alone does not establish which phone will feel faster, run cooler or last longer on a charge. GPU implementation, memory configuration, display resolution, firmware, power limits and thermal design also influence results. The available specifications do not provide a directly comparable independent power or sustained-performance test.

Supported features are not guaranteed phone features
A chipset’s product brief describes what the platform can support. The manufacturer chooses the components and features in each phone, so a listed display refresh rate, memory type, storage standard or charging capability is not proof that a specific handset includes it. Check the phone’s own specification sheet for the exact model and regional variant.

For a chipset-only comparison, the 91mobiles figures give the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 a modest edge in total AnTuTu and both Geekbench scores, while the 6s Gen 3 leads in the reported GPU and UX subscores. If you are choosing a phone, compare the complete handsets rather than relying on those chip-level figures.

- For gaming: look for independent reviews of the exact phone, including sustained frame rates and heat. The cited comparison does not establish real-game performance or frame rates.
- For everyday speed: consider device reviews and the phone’s memory, storage and software alongside the chipset; the benchmark results are not a guarantee of how quickly a specific handset will respond.
- For battery life: compare device-specific endurance tests. The available sources do not establish which platform lasts longer in representative phones.
- For connectivity: both platforms support 5G and use different Qualcomm modems, X61 on the 4 Gen 2 and X51 on the 6s Gen 3. Confirm the phone supports the network bands used by your carrier and country.
- For value: compare the exact regional model, price, display, camera hardware and processing, battery and charging, storage, and software-update policy.
91mobiles lists the Moto G45 5G as an example associated with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 and the Xiaomi Redmi 15 as an example associated with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. Treat these as starting points, not endorsements: verify the precise regional variant and chipset on the manufacturer’s own page before buying.
