The settlement site also lists September 3, 2026, as the deadline to request payment reissuance; that date has passed too. If you filed a claim and have an unresolved payment question, check the official settlement site for current administrator contact information and any new notice. It does not establish that new claims are being accepted.
What the Siri privacy settlement covered
The case, Lopez v. Apple, Inc., concerned allegations that private or confidential conversations were obtained by Apple or shared with third parties after Siri activated unintentionally. The settlement resolved those claims; it is not a court finding that Apple engaged in the alleged conduct. In its February 10, 2025 preliminary approval order, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California stated: “Apple denies any and all liability but does not oppose the Motion.” (court order; official settlement FAQ)
The settlement agreement was entered on December 31, 2024. The court granted preliminary approval and provisionally certified the class for settlement purposes on February 10, 2025. Preliminary approval did not establish the truth of the allegations.
Who was included in the settlement class
The class covered individual current or former owners or purchasers of qualifying Siri devices who resided in the United States or its territories. The alleged unintended activation had to occur during a private or confidential conversation between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024. The court order lists these covered devices:

How much could an approved claimant receive?
The $95 million figure was the settlement fund, not a guaranteed payment to each claimant. Under the court’s 2025 preliminary approval order, valid claims were to receive a pro-rata share of the net settlement, capped at $20 per claimed device. A claimant could claim up to five devices. The actual amount depended on the net funds available and the number of valid claims and devices claimed; the order’s cap was not a promise that every claimant would receive $20 per device.

What to do if you filed a claim
The official settlement site lists September 3, 2026, as the deadline to request payment reissuance. Because that deadline has passed, the available material does not establish whether any payment issue can still be resolved. If you filed a claim and need help, use the administrator contact channels on the official settlement site and check for a current notice. The site does not indicate that a new claim can be filed.
Do not confuse this with Apple’s separate $250 million settlement
A later Apple Intelligence case concerns allegations about delayed or unavailable Siri-related Apple Intelligence features. It is separate from Lopez, which involved alleged private communications captured after unintended Siri activation. The later case’s fund, eligibility rules, device criteria, and claim schedule do not apply to this settlement.
