Silver Pines PC requirements
Wych Elm and Team17 list the following requirements for the Windows PC version on Silver Pines’ Steam page. These are the publisher’s system requirements, not independent test results; the listing does not specify a target resolution or frame rate.

Compare your processor, graphics card, memory, Windows version, and free storage with the column that matches your goal. Meeting the minimum is not a guarantee of a particular frame rate, and the recommended list does not specify what resolution or visual quality to expect.
What is known about readability
In its official announcement for demo patch 2 on 12 June 2026, the Silver Pines team described “Small UI tweaks to make some fonts more readable, such as in-world interact prompts”. The same patch announcement noted visual updates in some scenes to make interactable objects such as ladders easier to read, tooltips for some menu options, and more visible coins in a phone coin-return slot. The team also said the demo was changed to pause correctly when the Steam overlay opened or the game lost focus. These are developer-made demo changes; the notes do not identify corresponding settings players can adjust themselves. See the official Silver Pines announcements.

That distinction matters in a dark, detail-oriented game: a setting that changes the image may also affect how easily you can spot text or interactable objects. The available sources do not confirm whether the full PC release includes adjustable font size, contrast, object highlighting, resolution scaling, upscaling, or particular graphics controls.
How to approach settings in the PC release
Because no verified launch-build settings recipe or performance testing is established here, treat the following as a general troubleshooting method—not a tested Silver Pines result.

- Check your hardware against the requirements. Use the table above to see whether your PC meets the listed minimum or recommended configuration.
- Inspect the options available in your installed build. Open the game’s settings or options menu and note which display, graphics, and accessibility controls are actually present. Do not assume a particular control exists based on another game.
- Change one available setting at a time. Keep track of the original value and check whether the change improves the problem you are addressing.
- Check both performance and legibility. Look for smoother play, but also confirm that text, prompts, and important objects remain easy for you to see. If a change makes them harder to read, restore the previous value and try another available option.
The sources do not show that lowering any specific Silver Pines setting improves frame rate, nor do they establish how resolution or scaling controls affect its text and visuals. A recommendation for those controls would require evidence from the actual release build and the hardware, resolution, and settings used.
What Steam Deck verification does—and does not—tell you
The developer announced that Silver Pines was Steam Deck Verified ahead of launch. SteamDB’s configuration notes say the interface text is legible and the default graphics configuration performs well on Steam Deck; see Silver Pines’ SteamDB configuration record. That is relevant handheld compatibility context, not a Windows PC benchmark or a promise that every player will find the text comfortable.

Release timing and what to verify
The Steam listing scheduled the Windows PC release for 8 October 2026. The available requirements and demo patch notes were accessed on 7 October 2026, before that scheduled release. They therefore do not verify final-build performance or the final PC settings menu. For settings advice specific to the released build, confirm which controls are present and assess their effect on your own hardware rather than treating the published requirements or Deck verification as a benchmark.
