This guide covers the locations and route documented for the Silver Pines Steam demo, build 23642600—not a verified list for the full retail game. The game is scheduled to release on October 8, 2026, so retail locations may differ. The route below gets you from the Outskirts through the Crimson Bear Motel and the demo’s ending; you can backtrack, and some clues—especially the guest-room keypad number—vary by save.
Quick route through the demo
- Search the Miner Diner and Walker’s car, then answer the nearby payphone.
- Find the Underpass Key in the Pharmacy’s back room and search Rodney’s General Store.
- Open the underpass gate on Motel Road and enter the Crimson Bear Motel.
- Read the Motel Guest Ledger in your own save to get the guest keypad number.
- Win the Game Room shooting gallery for the Poolside Key, then search the pool’s Changing Room for the Grizzly Suite Keycard.
- Collect the Snub .38 Revolver in the Grizzly Suite. Call the guest room for the Gift Shop supply-locker combination clue, then take the W-500 Shotgun from the locker.
- Continue through the Rabbit Hole sequence. Before leaving, pick up the progression key on the basement desk.
- Return for the tunnel encounter, then use the Ferry Office Key and radio to call the ferry and finish the demo.
Area inventory figures are demo-only: NPC Tips records 48 map areas and 40 items, documents, and containers in the Outskirts, and 22 map areas and 43 items, documents, and containers at the Crimson Bear Motel. Outskirts keys and useful finds
Keys and locked areas
- Underpass Key: In the Pharmacy’s back room. It opens the underpass access gate on Motel Road.
- Car Key: In the Miner Diner. Use it to open Walker’s car.
- Check-in Key: Outside Rodney’s General Store. The demo inventory says it fits a small desk at the motel.
- Diner Key and Ferry Office Key: Both appear in the demo key data, but the available location record does not establish their pickup spots. The Ferry Office Key is needed at the end of the demo route; its pickup location is not established here.
- Lighthouse and Room 3: The Lighthouse is reported closed in the demo. Game data places Gasoline and the Room 3 key there, leaving Room 3 shut on the documented demo route. A boarded shack near the diner is also reported inaccessible.
Other Outskirts items
- Hip Bags: One is listed at Rodney’s General Store and another at the Ferry Office. A third demo Hip Bag is reported in the Game Room.
- Miner Diner and nearby area: Emergency Frequency, .38 ammunition, the Empty Matchstick Box artifact, and the Newspaper: Framed Article are listed around the diner.
- Rodney’s General Store: General Store Code note and Boxcutter.
- Pharmacy: Pharmacist’s Note, Bottle, and Flatleaf Herb; the back room also contains the Underpass Key, another herb and bottle, and Turkey’s Crown.
- Ferry and shore areas: Ferry Schedule, .38 ammunition, Soda, and containers.
- Underpass and tunnel: Duct Tape, Switchblade Cufflink, and Corroded Iron Ball artifacts.

Crimson Bear Motel keys, weapons, and items
How to reach the weapons
- Guest keypad: Find the Motel Guest Ledger and use the number recorded in your own save. Do not rely on a code from a screenshot or video; the value differs by save.
- Poolside Key: Win the shooting gallery in the Game Room. The demo walkthrough also places one of the three Hip Bags there.
- Grizzly Suite Keycard: Search the Changing Room beside the pool. Use the keycard to enter the suite from the Poolside.
- Snub .38 Revolver: Pick it up in the Grizzly Suite.
- W-500 Shotgun: Call a guest room to get the combination clue, then open the supply locker in the Gift Shop.

- Gift Shop: 12ga Buckshot, .38 Bullets, Fusebox Note, and Electrical Fuse (40A). Downstairs are a Repair Kit and the Chipped Ceramic Bear artifact.
- Grizzly Suite: .38 ammunition and the Welcome Booklet, in addition to the revolver.
- Game Room: Bottle, buckshot, and Staff Note, besides the shooting-gallery reward.
- Bungalo 1: Room 5 Note, Bottle, and Cleaning Solution.
- Bungalo 3: The demo data lists a Star, “Axe Master” cassette, Motel Car Key, .38 ammunition, and a Bottle. The room is reported shut because its key is in the inaccessible Lighthouse.
- Motel lot: A car trunk is reported unopened in the demo.
Finding hidden paths and using tools well
Take the camera from the trunk of Walker’s car. The walkthrough describes photos appearing as markers pinned to the map. Photograph rusted padlocks, blocked passages, clues, and objects that need tools; the markers can help you remember what to revisit instead of repeatedly searching the same route.
The Boxcutter, found after the dead-dog encounter, is the first melee weapon in the corroborating demo walkthrough. It consumes stamina and loses durability, so save it for situations where a cutting tool is useful rather than striking rusted padlocks. The walkthrough reports that gunfire breaks those padlocks; the Outskirts guide says Demo Patch 2 enabled the shotgun to break wooden barricades. Before the tunnel and how to finish the demo
Do not leave the basement key behind
After the Rabbit Hole concert, if the expected phone call does not arrive, return to the basement and collect the key on the desk. The demo route guide reports that leaving it behind can prevent story progression to the call and tunnel.
Prepare for the encounter
The demo walkthrough advises saving if possible, reloading firearms, and bringing healing before entering the tunnel; it also warns that ammunition is scarce. It reports that the tunnel boss drops a memento, but the exact boss name, phases, attack windows, and minimum resources are not established well enough to present as verified tactics.

Call the ferry
At the end of the demo route, use the Ferry Office Key to enter the Ferry Office and call the ferry with its radio. Starting the ferry ends the demo with “to be continued.” A motel-area call is also reported as a free autosave before the tunnel, though that behavior should not be assumed for a different build.

The official Steam listing describes a game built around locked doors, hidden paths, clues, and scarce inventory. But the location-by-location records cited here are explicitly for Steam demo build 23642600, checked October 3, 2026, and call for post-launch verification. They do not establish every key, weapon, or hidden room in the retail release. In particular, the documented demo leaves the Lighthouse, Room 3, the boarded shack, and a motel-lot trunk inaccessible or unopened; their full-game status is not confirmed by these demo records.
