Silicon Power’s first CUDIMM is the XPOWER Cyclone DDR5 RGB, a 48GB kit made from two 24GB modules and offered in four speed bins from 8200 to 9200MT/s. The top 9200MT/s rating is a profile-dependent overclock—not a guaranteed default speed—and Silicon Power lists Intel Core Ultra desktop Series 2 processors and Z890 platforms as its target compatibility. Check your exact CPU, motherboard, BIOS support and kit bin before buying.
What Silicon Power’s first CUDIMM kit includes
Silicon Power announced the XPOWER Cyclone DDR5 RGB CUDIMM on May 16, 2025. Its current product page describes a white, desktop two-module kit with a 48GB total capacity (24GB per module). The product family has four published speed bins; they are not one universal 9200MT/s configuration.
Here are the published specifications by bin:
| Rated speed | Published timings | Voltage |
|---|---|---|
| 8200MT/s | CL40-52-52-131 | 1.4V |
| 8400MT/s | CL40-52-52-134 | 1.4V |
| 8800MT/s | CL42-55-55-140 | 1.45V |
| 9200MT/s | CL44-56-56-134 | 1.45V |
Silicon Power lists dimensions of 133.4 × 43.2 × 8.8mm and a 2mm heatsink. Its feature list also names a CKD clock driver, PMIC, on-die ECC, Intel XMP 3.0, RGB lighting and a limited lifetime warranty. See the official XPOWER Cyclone product specifications for the current listing; the manufacturer notes that specifications and availability may change.
What “up to 9200MT/s” means in practice
The 9200MT/s number is the rating of the fastest bin, not a promise that a compatible system will run at that speed automatically. Silicon Power says memory operates at BIOS defaults until a supported memory profile is activated. It directs users to enable XMP, EXPO, DOCP or A-XMP in BIOS, depending on what the platform supports, and to ensure hardware compatibility.

#1 Best Overall
- Aluminum heatsink provides maximum heat dissipation and thermal management
- Supports overclocking with Intel XMP 3.0.
- Speeds up to 7200MT/s / Timing 34-42-42-84 / Voltage 1.4V / Unbuffered / 16GB based
- Power management integrated circuit (PMIC) provides a more stable power supply for uninterrupted gameplay
- Backed by a lifetime warranty to promise complete services and technical support. Advertised speeds are reached via XMP/EXPO BIOS profiles. Actual performance varies by system configuration (Motherboard/CPU compatibility). Plug-and-play speeds follow JEDEC standards.
Enabling a profile applies settings beyond the default memory configuration. The actual achievable speed depends on the processor, motherboard, BIOS and selected kit. The product page does not establish that every system will run stably at its bin’s advertised rate, so treat the rating as a target setting rather than a guaranteed out-of-box result.
Which systems does Silicon Power name as compatible?
In its launch announcement, Silicon Power names Intel Core Ultra desktop processors (Series 2) and Intel Z890-series platforms. That is a platform-level compatibility claim, not confirmation that every CPU and Z890 motherboard combination supports every speed bin. Check the exact memory support list for your motherboard and the memory specifications for your processor, then confirm the BIOS supports the relevant profile.
Rank #2
- Aluminum heatsink provides maximum heat dissipation and thermal management
Even when the hardware is in the named platform family, the processor’s memory controller and the specific board configuration can affect the setting you can use. A motherboard’s current qualified-vendor or memory support list is the better check for a particular kit and speed than the family name alone.
Buying checks before choosing a speed bin
- Confirm the exact kit. Verify that the listing is for the 48GB (24GB × 2) CUDIMM kit and identifies the speed bin you want. The product page lists SP48D5C08240ARCW for the 8200 version and SP48D5C08440BRCW for the 8400 version; those part numbers should not be assumed to identify the 8800 or 9200 kits.
- Check CPU and motherboard support. Look up the exact processor and board model, including its memory support list and BIOS profile support. Silicon Power’s named Core Ultra Series 2 and Z890 compatibility does not substitute for checking the individual configuration.
- Check clearance. Compare the module’s listed 43.2mm height with nearby CPU coolers and other components.
- Review warranty terms for your region. Silicon Power describes the warranty as limited lifetime; regional conditions are not specified on the cited materials.
- Compare the full specification and cost. Capacity, timings and voltage differ by bin. A higher MT/s figure alone does not establish better gaming or application performance, and no independent head-to-head benchmarks are available in the cited material.
How to assess the performance and thermal claims
Silicon Power describes the kit as high-speed memory and says its 2mm heatsink reduces temperatures by more than 10°C. That temperature figure is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified result in the available coverage. The cited sources also do not provide controlled thermal testing or comparative performance benchmarks. Judge the product by its verified compatibility and complete specifications rather than treating its top speed or thermal claim as proof of a real-world advantage.
