Spoilers for the North Brae puzzle: The reported black-box code is 736; after scanning the box’s barcode at CEG, use 971 at Locker 204 to get the second Mechanical Part. The steps below follow independent walkthroughs; they have not been verified here through hands-on gameplay.
North Brae poem puzzle solution
- In 6 North Brae, go to the second bedroom upstairs. Read the Lamenting Poem and inspect the paintings.
- Enter 736 on the black box. It gives you a barcode.
- Take the barcode to the CEG scanner and scan it.
- Go to Locker 204 and enter 971. Collect the second Mechanical Part.
The poem and paintings are identified as clues for the box and its barcode in the Silent Townfall puzzle archive. Its chapter walkthrough gives the codes and progression. A separate puzzle index cross-checks the North Brae safe and locker answers. The available walkthrough material does not explain each digit’s derivation, so this guide does not infer one.
Are the North Brae codes variable?
The independent puzzle index lists 736 for the North Brae safe and 971 for Locker 204, while noting that some other game answers can vary by playthrough. It does not identify these North Brae codes as variable. That supports using the listed answers for this puzzle, but does not establish that every code in the game is fixed.
What the walkthrough covers
This is a focused solution for the poem, box, barcode, and Locker 204 sequence—not a complete route guide. The walkthrough source describes its scope as progression and puzzle inputs rather than every collectible, combat tactic, or alternate-ending requirement.
