How the endings are determined
Writer and director Jon McKellan told the PlayStation Blog that endings reflect the player’s actions across the playthrough rather than a simple binary choice at the end. Konami producer Motoi Okamoto said all three main endings can be reached on a first playthrough; the secret ending becomes available after clearing the game once.

The unofficial Silent Hill Memories ending guide treats documents and clues as “discoveries” that add to the ending score. Search rooms and surrounding areas before moving on, and inspect accessible objects rather than rushing through each section.

Avoid killing enemies as Simon
The guide says kills of Lunger, Sorrowful, and Motionless enemies count against Simon’s score. It says kills by Zoe and Richard do not count toward that score, even though the game’s end-of-run statistics may display them. When possible, evade rather than spend resources fighting.
Save IV bags for emergencies
According to the guide, using an IV bag to revive Simon carries a score penalty. The guide does not say that every use of an item has the same effect; its stated deduction concerns IV-bag revivals.

Follow Zoe’s surgery instructions precisely
During Zoe’s surgery sequence, follow the requested vital-sign readings, pump setup, and intubation steps. The guide reports deductions for mistakes, with an additional time-based penalty if the pump is set up incorrectly. Pay attention to each instruction instead of guessing at a setting.
The guide-reported score model and thresholds
Silent Hill Memories reports the following point model. These figures are not an official Konami specification: the official developer interview confirms that actions affect endings but does not publish a formula or Justice cutoff. Another unofficial guide, Townfall Field Notes, updated September 25, 2026, cautions that precise thresholds were not established by the material it relied on. Treat the numbers as provisional.

In the guide’s model, the total is discoveries found minus twice the counted enemies killed, minus four points per IV revival, and minus three points per specified surgery mistake, plus any reported pump-timer deductions. The game does not provide an in-game tracker for this score, so there is no reliable way to verify your running total.
Can you fix a run with a save?
The endings guide suggests keeping a save before the last puzzle if you want to preserve an option to pursue a different result. Townfall Field Notes describes manual saves at chapter transitions as useful checkpoints, but warns that a checkpoint does not guarantee you can recover discoveries missed earlier. A save can preserve a branch point; it cannot be assumed to repair a run that has already accumulated too many penalties.

Release and platforms
Konami announced that Silent Hill: Townfall released on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Its announcement does not establish whether a physical PS5 edition is available.
