What does Mecka AI do?
Mecka describes itself as a data and deployment layer for physical AI: technology that enables AI systems to perceive and act in the real world. The company says it collects human activity data to support robot learning, provides evaluation tools, and helps integrate hardware, models, and commercial partners into deployments. It describes Egoverse as a dataset of first-person activity across tasks, spaces, and environments. Mecka’s website lists mobile data collection, web tools for browsing and visualizing data, inference APIs, dataset access, commissioned task-specific collection, model evaluation, and enterprise programs. These are the company’s descriptions of its services, not independent verification of their performance.

What does the $100 million run-rate figure mean?
TechCrunch reported that co-founder Josh Gao told Fortune in early June 2026 that Mecka projected a $100 million annual run rate by the end of that year. This is a forward-looking projection attributed to Gao, not evidence that the company had already reached that run rate. TechCrunch’s account of the projection does not establish a subsequently achieved result.
