If you want a large-screen Android flagship without buying Samsung’s Galaxy Ultra, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is the strongest fully specified alternative in the available information. It pairs a 6.8-inch display with a multi-camera rear system, a 5,200 mAh typical battery, and Google’s seven-year update commitment. It is not a universal winner: camera results, comfort, charging preferences, ecosystem, local price, and availability may point to a different choice.
Best-supported alternative: Google Pixel 10 Pro XL
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is a direct option for buyers seeking a premium Android phone with a large display. Google specifies a 6.8-inch screen and a 5,200 mAh typical battery. That makes it a natural shortlist candidate if you want a big-screen phone, but the display size may be less comfortable for one-handed use than a smaller device.
Camera hardware and zoom
Google lists a 50 MP wide camera, a 48 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 48 MP 5x telephoto camera on the rear. Its specifications also list Pro Zoom up to 100x. These figures describe hardware and a maximum zoom capability; they do not establish that the Pixel produces better photos than a Galaxy Ultra in everyday use. Choose based on the kinds of photos you take and independent image comparisons, rather than megapixels or maximum zoom alone.
Battery and wireless charging
Google gives the Pixel 10 Pro XL a 5,200 mAh typical battery capacity and says it supports Qi2-certified Pixelsnap wireless charging up to 25 W. Wireless charging requires a compatible charger; check the accessory’s compatibility and supported rate before buying. Battery capacity by itself does not predict how long a phone lasts, and the available specifications do not provide a comparable real-world battery test.

Software support
Google says the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL receive seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Samsung’s separate commitment for the Galaxy S26 series is seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, counted from the global launch date. The wording differs, so these statements should not be treated as identical guarantees.
Price and availability
Google’s US Store listing showed the Pixel 10 Pro XL starting at $999 when accessed in 2026. That is a time-sensitive US listing, not a price guarantee or a guide to other countries. Check Google’s local store and retailers for current pricing, configurations, and availability before deciding.

How to compare alternatives with a Galaxy Ultra
There is no established winner across every buying priority in the available product information. Compare the phones using the criteria that matter to you:
- Camera: Compare image samples and testing for your usual subjects, including low light, portraits, and moving subjects. Published camera specifications alone do not settle image quality.
- Size and comfort: A 6.8-inch display makes the Pixel 10 Pro XL a large phone. If one-handed use or pocketability matters, handle the phone or compare its dimensions with the model you already use.
- Battery and charging: Consider both independent battery testing and the charging methods you use. The Pixel’s stated Qi2 wireless rate applies with a compatible charger.
- Software and updates: Compare the specific update promises and software features you value, rather than assuming that the same number of years means identical coverage.
- Ecosystem: Account for the devices and services you already rely on. Switching phones can matter more if your accessories or routines are tied to one manufacturer.
- Local price and stock: Check the current price and availability where you live. A US starting price should not be extrapolated to another market.
What about OnePlus?
OnePlus appears alongside the Pixel in editorial comparisons of premium Android phones, including a comparison that names the OnePlus 15. However, the information available here does not verify that model’s current official specifications, market availability, or price. Treat OnePlus as a candidate to investigate, not a confirmed recommendation: check the manufacturer’s current product page and local retailers before comparing it with the Galaxy Ultra or Pixel.

Which phone should you shortlist?
Start with the Pixel 10 Pro XL if you want a large-screen Android flagship and want to weigh Google’s stated camera hardware, charging support, and update commitment against Samsung’s. If you are considering OnePlus, confirm the exact model and current regional details first. The right alternative depends on real-world camera performance, comfort, ecosystem, local availability, and price—not on a single specification.
