The Galaxy S26 Ultra is the more feature-rich option, with a 200 MP multi-camera system, built-in S Pen and Privacy Display. The OnePlus 15R offers a 165 Hz screen and a larger stated battery capacity, and its observed India price is substantially lower. The right choice depends on whether Samsung’s camera and productivity extras justify the local price premium for you.

What is the price difference in India?
The two comparison pages show different Samsung prices, while their OnePlus figures are nearly the same. On the prices displayed when crawled, the gap was ₹80,000 in 91mobiles’ Amazon India comparison and ₹64,001 in Gadgets Now’s comparison. These are source-specific snapshots, not a single guaranteed price difference; prices can change, and the pages do not establish that both phones are the same storage tier.

Which is better: Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra or OnePlus 15R?
Choose the Galaxy S26 Ultra if its extras fit your use
Samsung’s strongest case is the combination of a multi-camera rear system, telephoto flexibility, built-in S Pen and Privacy Display. The Ireland product page describes up to 100x Space Zoom, while Samsung’s India specifications list four rear camera resolutions. Those features may make the Ultra worth its price premium if you regularly use zoom photography, want a stylus integrated into the phone, or value the privacy feature.
Samsung describes the S26 Ultra as “our most powerful smartphone yet” and “the most versatile model for high-performance seekers and privacy-minded users alike.” That is Samsung’s promotional characterization, not an independent comparative finding.

Choose the OnePlus 15R if screen smoothness, capacity and price matter more
The OnePlus 15R has the higher stated refresh rate at 165 Hz, compared with the Samsung’s up-to-120 Hz display, and its listed 7400 mAh battery capacity exceeds Samsung’s 5000 mAh typical figure. It is also shown at a much lower price in the cited India comparisons. These specifications can help distinguish the phones, but capacity alone does not prove longer real-world battery life, and refresh rate alone does not establish overall performance.

The chipset names identify different processors: Samsung lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 customized for Galaxy, while TechRadar lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the OnePlus 15R. Without comparable independent testing, those labels do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads.

Likewise, charging wattage is not a direct measure of charging time. Samsung lists 60 W charging and TechRadar lists 80 W wired charging for OnePlus; the battery capacities differ, and the cited figures do not provide a comparable time-to-charge test.

- Match storage: confirm the capacity and price of each phone’s exact configuration, since the cited India prices do not establish a like-for-like tier.
- Verify local availability and support: regional specifications and availability can differ. Check warranty coverage and network compatibility with your carrier in the market where you will use the phone.
- Compare your priorities: value the Ultra’s camera flexibility, S Pen and Privacy Display against the 15R’s higher refresh rate, larger stated battery capacity and lower observed India listing prices.
