The Samsung Galaxy S25 and vivo X200 are priced alike at the entry points listed on their official India stores, but they are different-size phones with different strengths. As of October 4, 2026, the S25 costs ₹84,999 for 256GB, while the X200 costs ₹74,999 for 256GB; for 512GB, the listed prices are ₹104,999 and ₹80,999, respectively. Choose the S25 for a more compact handset and Samsung’s stated long-term update commitment; choose the X200 if you want a substantially larger display, higher stated battery capacity, and 90W wired charging.

India prices: how much more does one cost?

The following are displayed asking prices on the manufacturers’ India stores checked on October 4, 2026. They are not market averages, and Samsung’s conditional exchange prices are not standard checkout prices.

Configuration Samsung Galaxy S25 vivo X200 Difference
Entry listed storage 12GB RAM / 128GB: ₹74,999 (Samsung India store) 12GB RAM / 256GB: ₹74,999 (vivo India Store) Same listed price, but X200 has twice the storage
256GB 12GB RAM / 256GB: ₹84,999 (Samsung India store) 12GB RAM / 256GB: ₹74,999 (vivo India Store) S25 costs ₹10,000 more
512GB 12GB RAM / 512GB: ₹104,999 (Samsung India store; page showed a ₹10,000 discount from stated MRP) 16GB RAM / 512GB: ₹80,999 (vivo India Store) S25 costs ₹24,000 more

Prices and offers can change. Check the exact storage and RAM configuration before buying: the entry-price comparison is not like-for-like because the S25 listing has 128GB and the X200 listing has 256GB. Samsung India’s S25 buy page, vivo X200 12GB+256GB listing and vivo X200 16GB+512GB listing show the cited configurations.

Size and display: compact phone or larger screen?

The S25 is the smaller, lighter option. Its 162g weight and 70.5mm width make it notably more compact than the X200, which is 74.81mm wide and weighs 197g or 202g depending on color. If one-handed use, a smaller pocket footprint or lower handset weight matters, the published dimensions favor Samsung.

The X200 gives you a larger 6.67-inch screen at 2800 × 1260 resolution. Samsung describes the S25 screen as a 15.64cm Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with adaptive 120Hz refresh; vivo lists a 120Hz AMOLED panel. Both have high-refresh OLED-class displays, but the larger X200 is the more expansive viewing surface. The manufacturers’ specifications alone do not establish which screen looks better in use. Samsung’s display description appears on its Galaxy S25 series features page.

Battery and charging: specifications versus real-world runtime

On paper, vivo lists a 5,800mAh typical battery and 90W charging, compared with Samsung’s 4,000mAh typical battery. Those figures make the X200 the stronger specification-sheet choice for battery capacity and stated wired charging rate. They do not establish which phone lasts longer in real use: screen size, software, network conditions and workload affect endurance, and the manufacturer pages cited here do not provide a controlled battery comparison.

Performance: different processors, no proven winner here

Samsung names the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, while vivo specifies the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. These chipset names identify different platforms, but they are not a controlled comparison of speed, heat or sustained performance. The cited manufacturer specifications do not establish a benchmark or thermal winner, so choose based on other confirmed differences unless you have credible testing for the workloads you care about. Samsung identifies the S25 processor in its India launch announcement; vivo lists the X200 chipset on its global specifications page.

Cameras: compare focal lengths, not just megapixels

The rear camera systems are configured differently. Samsung lists a 50MP wide camera, 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom; vivo lists three 50MP rear cameras. For selfies, Samsung lists 12MP and vivo’s global specification page lists 32MP. These resolutions do not determine which phone takes better photos or video: image processing, lens performance, video modes and results across lighting conditions matter too. The manufacturer specifications establish the hardware configuration, not a camera-quality winner. Samsung’s camera details are on its S25 series features page; vivo’s are on its global X200 page.

Software updates: Samsung states a specific commitment

Samsung said the Galaxy S25 series would receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. The official vivo pages cited for the X200 do not state an equivalent support duration. That means Samsung’s commitment is documented in these sources; it does not establish that vivo offers less support. Samsung’s policy appears in its January 23, 2025 India launch announcement.

Which should you buy?

Choose the Samsung Galaxy S25 if

  • You want a smaller, lighter phone: it measures 146.9 × 70.5 × 7.2mm and weighs 162g.
  • A stated seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates are important to your purchase.
  • You want a 3× optical telephoto camera in the listed rear-camera setup.

Choose the vivo X200 if

  • You prefer a larger 6.67-inch display and do not mind a wider, heavier handset.
  • You prioritize the higher stated battery capacity and 90W wired charging specification.
  • You want more listed storage for the same displayed India-store entry price: ₹74,999 buys the 256GB X200, while the S25 listing at that price is 128GB.

Neither phone is a universal winner on the specifications and price information available here. The clearest decision is whether you value the S25’s compact form and stated update policy more, or the X200’s larger screen, capacity and charging specifications.
